Allow me to preface the contents of this thread by saying that I have decided this is my favorite pair of anything, ever. This is my second most recent purchase (about a month ago) followed by a pair of Thavar 888P. They are from the S/S 2012 season and have a rather drastic fade on the thighs compared to some of the last season 8X2's. 

 

I feel as though I got a great pair of 888P's and I honestly had extremely high hopes. I was definitely not disappointed at all. However, the 8X2 just feels that little bit more special. This is one of those jeans that cause embarrassing misunderstandings on the subway: gazing lovingly into one's own crotch area is not generally perceived as socially acceptable behavior. The details are ridiculous and make you wonder about the mood and background of the Italian artisan who painstakingly applied the various stains and tears to your wunuvakind jeans...

 

Romanticism aside, these are just simply awesome. It is going to take something quite serious for the 8X2 to be toppled from its much deserved position as the best Diesel wash to date. For me, of course.

 

 

 

 

 

My girlfriend really loves these as well and encouraged me into different tasks while she snapped some quick shots for this very thread. All pictures taken with room light without flash.

8X2 is kinda old. I think I get it as my first Diesel Jeans in SS 2011 or sth. But anyway, awesome wash, awesome fit. Sometimes, I want to buy another 8X2 and put it in the closet in case there is something wrong with the old one. =D

Love the 8x2 man. I think its one of the nicest in the recent couple of years.

Im waiting to get another one in a smaller size since my current one is slightly bigger for me. And hopefully I can get it when they go on sale.

On color though, I actually think the new ss12 ones are much darker compare with the fw11 ones. I'm can do a comparison once I get that new one.

Dudeeeee they are amazing. I have been looking for them online but can't seem to find place that have them. Where did u get em? Please say online:P I also have a thavar 888p do they fit the same way does anyone know now?

I got both my 8X2 and my 888P from Diesel on Newbury St. Boston, MA. I went with the same size in both and they fit basically the same. the 888P is a little crunchier and a touch shorter. Also, the thicker material makes the waist feel a touch more snug. If anything, size down for the 8X2 from your 888P size unless you have a bit of room in your 888P. Then stick with the same size.

8X2 is definitely a nice wash.  I am suprised Diesel did not make it

in any of there other cuts, or did they?  They would look damn cool

with a pair of tan desert boots.

I was a fairly early adopter of 8X2's but I wasn't totally sold on them when I first saw them. I tried them on three separate trips to the local Saks before finally pulling the trigger, they are now also one of my alltime favorites right up there with my 8SV Darrons.
They were more distressed looking than I usually cared for but now after many wearings and washings (yes I wash my jeans) they are much softer and now just look lived in as opposed to "fake used."
My current "alltime" best wash/fit is my limited DBG 8BT's, it will be interesting to see how long they hold their title.

I must be the only one in the world who doesn't like the 8x2's. I bought a pair last year and have maybe worn them 2 or 3 times. Should have returned them while I could!

My favorite Diesel, I don't have one. Tepphar 8Y0 is the one I wear more often then others. As for my favorite pair of jeans is have to be Dior Homme UMC `09 version, thinking about buying `07 version as well.
