Hello guys, I just became a member on this site mainly because I don't know how diesels are suppose to fit and I'm currently swamped with midterms so I do not have the luxury to leave the house and try on a pair of jeans. Apparently I have time to be reading about the fits online though -.-. Anyways, I have my eyes on the "Safado", "Thanaz", and "Thavar" as they are the fits i prefer. I'm 5'9 with 31 waist, 31 length in most clothes.  I mainly wear Levis 511 Skinny jeans in w31/l30 because it's lowrise and doesnt constrain my thighs or calves. I do not like nut huggers like the 510 but i dont like anything too baggy. I guess my aim is "fitted." Judging by the pics that I see online, I'm more inclined to get the thanaz and thavar vs the safado. I like how it tapers the thighs and lower leg for the thanaz and thavar and the safado seems to loose for me. This is however based on speculation on the pics provided by the retailers. So this brings my questions:

 

If i were to get thanaz and thavar, lets say from the nordstrom, piperlime, neimanmarcus, bloomingdales, diesel websites, should the sizes be consistent or does it depend on the wash/style of the jeans?

 

based on my measurements and way of fit, what size would you recommend for me in either style of jeans?

 

There are some diesel jeans that offer the option of picking 30l, 32l, and 34l. Some comes in a 34l right? if that's the case, even after i alter the length, does the leg opening have to be altered as well?

Honestly, I'd go into a store and try on whatever model/wash you're interested in just to get an idea. Sizing for washes differ from wash to wash, and the way each cut fits someone is completely different. Looking at some fitpics of Thavar and Thanaz on here makes me want to wear them, but when I get them on they look way too skinny for my tastes/wardrobe.

If you have a 31" around waist area(where your jeans sit) then I'd go for at most a 29 and maybe even a 28. To be safe you should start off with a 29x32 I'm Thavar.Washes will run different as far as sizing goes so its best to ask us before buying a pair to see how it runs. If you have to Wing it then just go for the 29 to be safe.

ok so thavar and thanaz you recommend gettting a 29?  what about the safado braddom and shioner? what size would you "guesstimate" me to be, given my provided measurements and preference in fit?

same. you may fit a 28 but a 29 would be a safer first buy

I'm around 180cm and 70kg and wear G-Star, Levis and Energie skinnies in 30/32 but they're usually tight in the waist and thigh. Wondering which size should I get for Krooley, Braddom, Darron and maybe Tepphar.

Probably 28 or 29.  I'm 177cm/ 66kg and a 28 is pretty tight.

hey guys i just bought all 29/32 in thavar, thanaz, braddom, safado, and shioner. hopefully i wont have any problems. what do you guys think? if length is an issue, ill just alter them. thats 8 pairs so far =P hopefully i can keep 4 of them.

remember, all diesels stretch. if they're a little tight, it's okay. if they're a bit big, return em and size down.

Go with your regular waist in Tepphars

Just tried on the jeans. Thanaz. Super tight, I definitely need a 30w. Thavaz.... I can rock it but 30w could be good too. Shioner fit just like the the thavaz so 30w could be feel better.. Braddom I might need to go down a size to a 28w but overall I love the braddoms. However the button zips creates a big bulge that seems like I can fist size balls. I think going down a siZe for those will be preferred. That's all the reviews I have so far. The jeans are very thick and rigid, must be the high quality or Iono. I would prefer it softer.

if they're a little tight, give em a day. if you want them softer, give em an hour. the thavar cut has a larger waist by design so you shouldn't size up. as a reference, i prefer my diesels as tight as i can possibly fit and then they stretch out to perfect. every time.
