To all 8X2 & 888P owners, I need some advise

Hi everyone,

I am looking to purchase the 8X2. Can anyone let me know if the thigh area will stretch out after wear?

I tried them out at the store today, size 29x32 and 30x32. In 29x32, the waist is slightly tight but I think it will fine since it will stretch a bit after some wear. But the thigh is very tight, I can sit down but somewhat uncomfortable. In 30x32, the tight is good, just how I like it. But the waist is big, I will need to use a belt.

So should I get the 29 hoping the tight will stretch out to my liking or go for 30 and just use a belt?

2932

I dont know if it will stretch out that much so that sitting is going to get comfortable.. I also tried both and took W30 because of the thigh area, but I always use belts anyways.

The thing with thavar and thanaz is even for us chicken leg people, or you get a huge waist and comfortable thight, or good waist and tight thight. It will stretch but it will still be uncomfortable, especially with the 8x2 denim!

I personally chose for the uncomfortable tight but fitted waist.

i think that 8x2 is thighter than thanaz at the legs but the waist is the same i think

get the 29 32

i second that notion.

go as tight as you can.

I owned a pair of 8X2 in 28x32 in hopes that they'd stretch, but they barely budged at all.  I ended up selling them and getting a 30x32.  For some reason, I doubt this is helpful to you  at all.  :P

They stretch about as much as you would expect 100% cotton jeans to stretch. As in, about an inch in the waist, and as much as pushed in the thighs really. It's interesting you didn't find them to stretch at all, kevpwnsu!

Yeah, they may have given 1/4 of an inch. My new ones haven't, either...well, if they have, it hasn't been noticeable at all.

I'd rather be comfortable sitting and moving around. Belts are cool, get the 30.

Thanks for all of your tips. I really appreciate that.

Since this one is 100% cotton which most of you suggested it will not stretch much, I will just stick with 30w. But I'll try a 29w for something with a stretch material later.

I was all good to go with the 8x2, but encounter another problem. I looked at the 888p and decide to get it. The sales rep showed me 2 30x32 that's 2 different color, 1 is more blue with white fading, the other is very light with yellowish fading. I couldn't decide between the 2 so I got both for now and hopefully all the nice member here can give some tips on which one to keep. I will provide pics soon.

Bro, get the yellowish one for sure! The other one is not that special

Yeah the yellowish one is a lot more in demand by our community in particular. The other one is disappointing. Stay with the yellow tint. Mine are yellow tinted.

I tried a Braddom 888P in 28x30 at HK flagship store... its so lovely but they want $410 after conversion which is more than USA.  so I'll wait to get it in the States.

^ that's a nice one. Compare with this, both mine are not that yellow.

I guess I'll have to post photo tomorrow.

I would personally go with the 30's and wear a belt... but it's hard to say without pics. If it's skin tight, then it's too tight imo.

And yes yellow shade for the win. I think my 888P are pretty yellow.

Braddom is amazing! I love my 881Z and 887D. But for the 888P, I'd prefer Thavar =D Don't ask me why. I just love skinny jeans =p

These are both Thavars tovani ;-)

I think the more yellowish one looks more special.

they're actually different enough to justify keeping them both!

they're both super nice and i am no help to you haha.

What the fuuuuuuuuuuuuudge there's so much different between each pair!?

I ordered my pair from Nordstrom and kept the first one they gave me. Now I have half a mind to order another couple and see what they look like o.O

I really can't say which I prefer..  right version's blue seems more neutral making it more versatile, while the lighter pair is more unique lookin. I think my pair looks more similar to the left one

LOL, now you guys see my dilemma.

I agree, they are very different. Maybe that's why there is a part of me want to keep both.

@ rizzice, yes, the left is more unique and reminds me of 72c. But right is like 73j, so easy to match.

That's actually exactly what I was thinking in terms of versatility.

The left is definitely like 72C and the right seems more 73Jish...which is why I prefer the right one, I think. Although I like the yellow, it looks like the right pair isn't too short of the yellow fading either.

Perhaps fit pics would help us help you icon_smile.gif I might just try and get a darker pair for myself considering I haven't worn my 888P out yet.
