Difference between Blue Crash and Cool Summerday

Ok so I have always thought like most people that Blue Crash and Cool Summer Day are just two names for the same wash. I am selling my cool summer day to size up. I bought a size up in Blue Crash and I now have them both here at my house. Now that they are together I can see that there is certainly a difference. While there is no difference in the distressing there is a difference in the tone and contrast. The Cool Summer Day has more a brown tint and is less contrasty than Blue Crash. Blue Crash is more contrasty and has a blue tint. So there is the difference. They are two different washes after all. I have taken some pics for you to compare but keep in mind that in these pics its still not as easy to tell the difference (though it can be seen). In person the difference is VERY obvious. In my opinion I like the brown tint of cool summerday better but I like the deeper contrast the blue gives to Blue Crash. Blue Crash on left side and Cool Summerday on the right:

I think it's one wash with 2 names (sometimes LVR naming is "different"). Regarding the pictures - I guess it's just differences between pairs, same like there is no exactly same pair in Jake, UMC, even Diesel. You can see also different honeycombs but it's one wash.

I see what you are saying. I thought I may have unlocked some great mystery. Lol. It just has never made sense to me to make one wash and give it two names. I bought these new ones (with the blue tint) and they looked so different than the Cool Summer Day I had already. It seems like there is no way they are the same.  Did the term "Blue Crash" ever appear on the hang tags? These were NWOT so I didnt see what it said on these.

No DH has name on the tag..., only numbers ;-) Btw. did you notice, LVR sometimes named the jeans totally wrong? E.g. MIJ RAWs on LVR were listed as Nostalgy brut or whatever...

Yeah I did notice that about LVR. Also, Dior does have names on hang tags. Every pair of brand new diors that came with hang tags said the name. Jake, cool summer day, the exception is distress oiled. There wasn't a name on that hang tag. My fuel to the fire came with the original hang tags and also has the name on it. So that may be true in some cases but in most I don't think it is. I'm sure my Clawmarks came with the name on the hang tag too. Not completely sure but I'll check.

In fact, you can zoom in on the hang tag in the pic and see it says cool summer day. If not I can take photos for you when I get home

no names on my hang tags (both from LVR). E.g. jake11 17,5cm x griffith park 19cm

Well I have 8 pairs of Diors and I have had 3 with names on the tag. That includes the tag I just showed a pic of right above your post. So what is your conclusion?

One point I need to make a correction on. I wouldnt say that every pair of brand new Diors I got had names on the tag. The Jakes I got from you didnt have them on there. I forget if my leaden sky did or not. So again I say, what is your conclusion? Only certain washes? Whats the point of that?

Maybe it's different in Europe x America x Asia release?

Yeah that has to be it then. That is all that would make sense anyways.

I just found paper tag from my Blue crash / Summer day ordered from LVR. So on LVR store was this wash listed as Blue crash (see picture bellow from "order confirmation" email) and on paper tag is "Jeans F19 Cool Summerday". So sorry Jeanetic, my only one pair has a name on the hang tag ;-)
