What Dior Are You Wearing Today? (WITH PICS) - Page 31

Thinking of getting some jakes 17.5. Should I stick with my usual size or change due to the stretch?

I'm mostly worried about the thighs - though I believe I have slim legs throughout, for some reason my thighs are a problem area for skinny cuts. Ass and waist are usually alright.

When you say tight upper-block, does that include the thigh area? If so, I may really have to size up from my Diesel size, but I'm thinking finding a size 35 will be nigh impossible.

DH jeans are very tight at waist, hips and thighs, so i would say you should size up for sure. Btw. jeans are not produced in size 35 (only 34 or 36).

I went with my diesel size in Jake (I could even size down one for skinny look).

.

These are incredible! Are these the Jake model? Also, how does the sizing work for this brand?

I have a chance to purchase a pair of Jakes in a 29" waist. I wear a 30" waist comfortably in Diesel Thavar and a 31" waist also but then need a belt. Without trying this pair of Diors on in 29", would it be safe to go with it? My Thavar 8x2's are 29" waist also and button just fine but are tight in the thigh area but also 100% cotton. Help me please:)

Okay, scratch that last post. I am going to stick with a 30" waist or 31" waist if I decide on a pair of Rack Rails. I still need your guys help though:) Should I go with Rack Rail, Jake or a pair of Work A Day? Thank you again:)
I have all of them, I think Rack N Rail are the ones you should go with.

Rack N Rail - 100 Cotton (Definitely size up from your normal size, I'm 29 in Jake and Work A Day but had to go with 30)

Have two pair of Jakes from different seasons too, here is one of them

will take pics of Work A Day and another pair of jakes if you want to look at them.

@qwerk, thank you kindly! Both pairs look incredible! By the photos, Rack N Rail seems to tapper like a pair of Tepphars would in the calf and ankle area. Is that true when you put them on? Great photos, btw:)

@qwerk, would sizing down one in the Jake 17.5" model be a bad thing? I have read here that one could go with their normal size but could even size down one for a skinnier fit. I have a chance to purchase a used pair and his 29" waist measures the same as my 30" Thavars, which is 17". I guess I am not as concerned with the waist but more so the "legging" effect they might have in the thighs...

Here are the measurements

Thighs: 24.5
Knee: 18.5
Hem: 17

I think they are going to be like a leggings in the thigh area, you are going to be fine everywhere else thru.

Thank you again qwerk for your help!

So with Jakes it's better to stick with your W30 sizing, as for Rack N Rail W31 going to fit you just fine. You can't relly compare Tepphar to 17.5 Diors.

I have like 9-10 pair of Diors right now, at most had 13 and only had to size up for Rack N Rail. I sized down to 28 for my 17.5 Raws at first they were uncomfortable but they did stretch in the end.

Thank you again. You have been extremely helpful:)

Hi qwerk,

i have a question, my jake is used to have those dirty stains by original but it's gone after a wash. Does it apply to rack&rail as well?

can't wait for my new pair to ship over.

Thanks in advance!

Since Dior is pretty much dead, how about we get a Saint Laurent sub forum going? The denim I feel is incredible and very close to Dior in fit, since Hedi Slimane is designer. The price point is much more reasonable, when compared to the current £450+ price of Dior washes, the £250-325 price point is much better.

This season there are some really beautiful washes out. As you guys who are regulars here might notice I have put on a bit of weight since recovering from illness, so none of my old Dior pairs in size 28 and 29 fit now. I sit comfortable in 31-32 these days. I got these today from LVR, 17.5 CM cut which is pretty much identical to the Dior counterparts, minus the overlong inseam and vanity sizing. SLP fits true to size which is so much better, I no longer have to guesstimate my size like I did in the Dior days. Please excuse my wife's dressing room mirror :D

What you think? can we get an SLP forum?
