@aramis - Thanks

yep, lanvins are nice and super expensive :-) How it's the Aldo sneakers sizing? Do they run big or small, or it's safe to go with the "standard" sneaker size? (like converse, diesel etc.)

yeah super expensive, I was at their boutique back in December, even on sale some of their sneakers run about $400-500.  ouch.. really nice stuff but oucch :)

Aldo sneakers are a bit inconsistent in sizing IME.  I use 42 normally but this pair I had ran big so I went with 41.  However, I tried on another aldo model and those runs small and had to go a size up.  Generally I'd try them on at their store first due to this.

Helo sac000:

I have two pairs, the very classic ones:

http://www.upscalehype.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/svarte6es7.jpg

http://www.lanvinsneakerssale.com/images/Lanvin-sneakers/Lanvin-sneakers-mens-4.jpg

Yes they are very expensive; I love snaekers and I have spent more money I should in sneakers (I have the two lanvin, two dior, one martin marginal and one balenciaga) but all of them I bought on sales (normally alt 50% or 30%). Nevertheless too much money, but I decided time ago not to spend more money neither sneakers nor jeans.

I have 9 dios jeans, all of them at a reasonable price, but now DH is becoming a stupid superexpensive brand; OMG jeans at more than 500€, and increase of more than 70% in two years...

Sac000 i recomend you to say lanvin sneakers in person, you are going to fall in love with them, superclassy sneakers.

I live your fit very much. All jake fits on internet are supertight fits and I don´t like this kings of fit; they are jeans not leggins!!!

Hahahaha so true.

btw thanks for the lanvin links, those look great!!  Yep Dior is getting more and more expensive,  this season's jake went up $20 to $630 from $610 last season.  At least here in the US boutique.

beware of the 2nd link : no legit stuff, i think.

I don´t know if the links are legit shops or not; I always buy lanvin sneakers on luisaviaroma; I only put the links in order to show you the models, sorry If these are legit.

In yoox there are new models of dh jeans added.

http://www.yoox.com/es/42296311KI/item?dept=men#sts=sr_men80&cod10=42296311KI&sizeId=

I think they are 21cm (not fan of this cut).

There are other new models.

I bought a saint laurent paris raw 19 cm jeans; a very disappointed purchase; I have to try to find another brands (DH very expensive; SLP very expensive and not fun of their cuts). Any suggestion? Few years ago I was fan of dsquared but now I find dsquared very tacky; prefer simplier jeans models.

@bollimachine69 - I hear ya on dsquared but what was wrong with SLP 19cm cut that you weren't fond of?  I've yet to try SLP myself and curious about it.

@Alcor:Alcor nice fit; I have both MII and MIJ, both are awesome, but please you have also tried MIJ.

@SAC000.- I don´t know why but I don´t like them; don´t like the colour, the fit, the material. you should try them. MIJ are much more better

This is how I like Dior jeans, skin-tight is a no-no for me.

exactly like my jake... :-)

@Mickeypunch.- I think this is the best fit; I like slim jeans, no leggins!!!

I hope people don´t misinterpret this statement.

But why do people admire so much how rappers dress? There are lots of blogs and e-page where there is analyzed the brands that rappers wear.

Rappers tend to wear the most expensive clothes that exist in order to show us that they are rich. They don´t care if a t-shirt is beautiful or not, they are only worrried about showing us that this t-shirt cost 5oo usd. That is because givenchy, balenciaga and other superexpensive brands are so popular between rappers.

I admit that givenchy t-shirts tend to be awful (a dog t-shirt or a shark t-shirt that cost 400usd!!!!); but when I see a rapper wearing DH jeans...

I don´t understand why people think that Kanye West is a model to try to copy; a man who wears a 7 sizes up jeans (always a very expensive jeans) but and expensive oversized t-shirt and a super-big-expensive sneakers. Is that they way people think is admirable to dress? They only thing that Kanye do is to dress the most expensive clothes, no matter the fit or the colour.

I am completly sure that givenchy designer are delighted when he see a rapper wearing his clothes, but I am also sure that Hedi Slimane or KVA are horrified seeing Kanye West wearing a Mondays off DH jeans 8 sizes up (David Beckham tend to wear 2 sizes up).

Man, I've been buying from the wrong brand, Dior jeans' look amazing! The fit seems to be just how I like it too.
Can someone help me with sizing though?

I like slim cuts with some room at the thighs and a tapered leg (just like Justin Theroux in the pics above), so I usually bought diesel skinny cuts (Thavar and Shioner) with 36" at the waist (usually a size 34x34) though that often still meant the thighs were just a little too tight.

Any thoughts on what I should get for Dior?

While I'm here, can someone tell me what wash is this?

^^^ I believe Justin Theroux is wearing a Jake, possibly work a day but leaning towards a jake due to the right knee abrasion.

I don't believe there is an exact "cut" comparison with diesel skinny and dior.  Thavar/thanaz/shioner might be closes to a 17.5 dior but the minute you put on Dior it feels night and day.  Dior has a very small/tight upper-block area in comparison to Diesel.  Usually you may want to go up 1-2 sizes from your diesel size for dior depending on your build/body type, as that plays an important factor.  Hope this helps because 19cm is more like safado and 21cm is possibly like a Larkee/viker.
