jeanetic, at first, i really don't like FTF that much. after seeing all your fit pics of them, i'll have to say they are charming. and the raws look really nice with your customized boots (from Brandi Devers i think) she must be a great boots maker. and as i remember, you got those blue crash at a really good price. i've been seeking them for such a while and ended up finding nothing.

i ordered a pair of blue clawmarks from 12AW for my friend as a birthday gift to him. he's my best friend so i spent the money i saved for Burberry trench coat on them.

How i hope you were my friend!

Thanks Marcus, and wow you're a good friend!

I found a great pair of blue claws in size 32 that look to be my size based on the measurements of my size 30 Jakes, which fit great.

The only problem is that the thighs are an inch smaller on the claws, plus them being 100% cotton and not stretch.

Should I be worried, or should I still go for them?

The UMC jake wash is almost the same than jake 12 (I don´t know if there is a mistake but luisaviaroma says that They are MIJ).

And the other washes are waful IMO. I think Dior homme should redifine thier denim line because they are evolving to kris van asche own line where there are lots of dress trousers and only a few models of jeans.

I would like dior separete denim line from the rest of dior homme line; on general dior homme line They could focused on kva view (a more seriousand minimalistic view) and on denim line They could maintain the spirit that became this firm so iconic (focused on a more young, irreverent, and rock and roll view).

If you check former collections from DH on any link of luisaviaroma you can see that there were much more models of jeans (on www.frillr.com there are links with hedi slimane collections on luisaviaroma).

For sure they are "wrongly" labeled / named (common on LVR, they did it already with RAW Brut Nostalgy jeans. They named RAW MIJ as Brut and RAW MII as Nostalgy like 4 or 5 years ago. And now I saw both "names" mixed). This Jake UMC jeans are standard Jake reissue, I'm sure.

back to denim, it's really hard to produce fake DHs. especially from HEDI era. and of course you won't feel good if you see some punk wearing the fake jaens that is almost the same with your real ones.

and for the question you just mentioned i must say i got some question marks with KVA. i mean, i really love his personal style, very classy and simply. and he created some great wash too (like ink me, painted sky...) but as you said, i wasn't sure about umc jake. they are weird. first of all, both UMC and JAKE are not MIJ, how can UMC JAKE be MIJ??? secondly, i think they are just 100% cotton jake. they don't have the ink spots on UMCs.

i simply assume that KVA doesn't love denim as much as Hedi does. let's just wait and see if DIOR will come up with some new policy.

This Jake UMC jeans are standard Jake reissue, I'm sure.

All Real Madrid and Barcelona players love both Dsquared (mainly jeans) and Dolce&Gabbana (t-shirt aboy Monica Belucci, Steve and Mcqueen adn so on). If you check pics from Guti, David Villa, Arbeloa. Pique...you can see that they always wear dsquared and dolce&gabbana clothes.

As you can see Dsquared and Dolce&gabbana are so popular i Europe, especially between football players.

Uggly but common thing, players are usually dressed "loud" with big logos on everything etc.

This is like from some DSquared "lookbook" :-), but I like it

I will say this though... from personal opinion, as I've gotten a little bit older (25 now), I appreciate a more subtle and minimalist approach to clothes and denim. I don't like things to be too flashy, not that Hedi's were, but with style like Dsquared. I think it looks better when the beauty is in the little details, like with the Clawmarks and UMC. Granted, tastes and style differ from person to person and culture.
I asked LVR about the Jake UMC wash. It sounded like they didn't really know what they were talking about, but said that Dior listed them as jeans having both the treatments of Jake and UMC.

- I would say UMC is at the edge of "flashy" and "cheap" wash in DH terminology, IMO. Also depends on the release... But yes, they are classic and great wash. For me it's the "limit" for paint, distressed, etc. style. Washes like Side storm, Fuel to fire, Armageddon etc. are "over the limit" for me.

- yes, usually the don't really know anything about the jeans. Same as in Diesel stores... Better is to ask on some forum, SuFu.... etc. But be prepared to read first before you ask. Some people are "strange", "rude" and "egoistic" :-)))))

from my experience of wearing Claws, you don't really need to worry too much about that. i think you can go for them.

you have any MIJ 19cm? Claws are pretty typical MIJ 19cms. i don't know much about jake. but i know that Jeanetic's Claws are one size bigger than his Jake. and in your case, the Claws are 2 sizes bigger than your Jake, i think they will definitely do. no worries. remember to post some fit pics when you recieve them :P

zdenal, i don't know how LVR staff always muddles all the wash names. anyway, i'm glad KVA didn't come up with the wash "Jake UMC" cuz that sound weird enough... kindda like air jordan mixing all of the jordans together. nasty :( are those really 100% cotton and MIJ?? they can't be mistaken these. they are ON THE TAGS!!!

So I'm wearing my 17.5cm raw indigos today.  icon_smile.gif  Just received them.  They're definitely skinny throughout the calve and the thighs might be the slightest bit tighter than the 19cm cut.  Waist feels the same.  Now to get my wife to take pictures....

Meant to say, basically the perfect Marcus cut.

I'm super bummed out.

The blue claws that I was going to get on ebay are probably going to be a no go.

I noticed that the seller had their location listed as the US, but their Yahoo contact email was from Taiwan. They have good feedback , but just the other day (not long after I started contacting them) I had a security issue from gmail with someone trying to log in from Taiwan. It can't be a coincidence. How disappointing.

Here's the listing.

What do you guys think?

that's creepy. just leave them. that can't be someone from Taiwan. he must have been set his account in Taiwan but he's from other place.

there is a much much bigger Dior market in Taiwan or it's even bigger in Japan which is near Taiwan. and i know we don't actually sell stuff on Ebay. we definitely can sell dior stuff here for a much better price. plus if we sell in the US we'll have to ship a whole long way there which cost a fortune.

he's not from Taiwan that's for sure. but in this case, i'd say just leave them. or if you really want them so bad, just ask the seller what happened. maybe it's just a misunderstanding. blue claws in 32 are not that hard to find so.. you can just buy another pair.

I agree.  I'd walk away.  It's not like they're as "Supper" rare as he says.

Thanks Marcus,

I just got a message back from the guy (I asked him why his email was from Taiwan) and he said it's an old email address that he's had for a long time, and that he lives in LA now.

Also, he added that he got them from the Las Vegas Dior boutique.

I dunno guys... I guess your right, and that it wouldn't be too hard to find another pair. It would be better to be safe, but I'd hate to miss out on a good pair just because I'm being paranoid.

I agree with ya on that. Those claws look so awesome in the pics. But if you're not that into jeans from Hedi era, you should find some great claws from KVA era selling for good price soon.
My only concern is whether the seller is legit.

If they have 100% positive feedback, should I have any concern or is it possible to fake that?
Nah, I don't think anyone would fake their feedbacks. That'll cost a lot of time to creat accounts and cost some money too.
Now, here's what I know about fake. Judging from the page, that can't be a fake guy. The pics quality was like an amateur's work. If he wants to fake, he has to be professional. Or he can't get too much profit. Plus he's gonna get charged.
After all, the claws look 100% legit in the pix. If I were you, I will def go for them. But no need to rush. I love Claws too and I know the feeling of being paranoid better than anyone does. So, let's say if you still can't trust this guy tomorrow morning, leave them and totally forget them. Go to a DIOR boutique to grab an authentic Claws (I think they cost at most 100 bucks more than buying from eBay). This works, trust me.

marcus, what happened in the end to your clawmark from LVR? They returned it to you?

I think 300 usd for a MIJ Dior Homme jeans is a good deal,. But now I have to see if the fit me ok and how they look like. I hope they fit me like clawmark I tried yesterday on Dior homme boutique in Madrid.

From now to the future I am only going to buy MIJ (except mythics washes like jake or UMC).

Bolimachine, in case (im just saying in case) you don't like your DO, please don't return them to Yoox; I'd be happy to pay you $295+shipping cost to get them!

Hi xmbeckham They DO don´t fit me so I am going to return it. Are you interested to buy them? If you are interested  please tell me as soon as possible. I paid 305 usd (taking into account exchange rate), so If you tell me where are you from I will calculate shipping cost and tell u.

But please answer me as soon as possible because I will be out of home and I want to resolve this question as soon as possible.

Sorry xmbeckham but my brother has just bought me them because they fit them perfectly. Sorry mate!!!

They are better in person than on yoox, yoox does the worst pics I ever seen.

It is on sale new jakes on luisaviaroma, whats do you (xmbeckham, jaenetic, marcus or whatever who are interested to answer) think about them?

No worries, thanks for letting me know. Lucky your brother!

Not sure which jake are you talking about, since there are 3 jakes on LVR right now.

It looks good and the price is reasonable compared to other diors, but I won't buy it for full price.

i kept them finally. but there is one old friend of mine keep asking me if i wanna sell them or not. he would like to pay 350 bucks for them. so i was thinking i can sell them to him and then buy a pair from the Dior boutique here since i really don't have to worry about their authenticity (i mean the pair i bought from LVR. i don't wanna sell fake shit to anyone) PLUS i so want a pair from 12AW so i'm still thinking about it. this would work right? at least it sound reasonable lol (AWs are thicker than SSs. and as i said, i l prefer my jeans thicker)

Thanks again for the help and guidance Marcus icon_smile.gif

Update on the situation - I asked if he could send me a picture of the jeans next to a piece of paper with my eBay account name and he sent me a few. Seems more legit now, though that'd still be a weird coincidence with the google account security issue I mentioned before. Think I'll go for them.

Hmm, would you lose a lot if you sold to him for $350? If not, you should go ahead and sell them for a peace of mind. But from what I understand, where you live is quite hot, then is it necessary to get thick denim?

Msalonen, asking for more pics is surely a wise thing to do. nice decision. i honestly think they look really good in the pics!! congrats!!

Xmbeckham, no, not quite necessary to get thick denim. but thick denim look more rigid and stiff when i wear them and i personally prefer them that way. just my preference haha. i bought them with 500 bucks so... i'm still thinking about that now:P
