I asked LVR for some DH measurements (I haven't heard back from yet), but I was nervous because some measurements I saw on ebay for clawmarks in size 32 were about my size. Which makes me afraid of getting anything less than 31 if not 32.

absolutely. I always had a hard time selecting jeans on Yoox, and it's very likely that I just passed by a great pair without being aware of that.

guys, i now have a chance to get 09SS UMC Bas17.5 in W28 with 500 bucks which is my size for 17.5s. is UMC jake with red/black/white ink spots on and some tears on the knee?? that would be cool for me to get a pair of semi-jake cuz i don't like elastane at all. they make me feel way softer but i like my jeans to be tougher.

what would you guys recommend?

Jake and UMC is totally different wash. Btw. are you sure UMC 09 17,5cm is 100% cotton??? My UMC 09 19cm is cotton + spandex... And last point, there is no tear on my UMC ;-) I think you mix UMC releases...

Sorry, my fault. I did mixed up all of them. as I did some research on them, I found out some have red ink on, some don't. But I think 07 UMC have both of red ink and tears on the right knee which I love a lot!! So I will prolly try my friend's 07UMC on and see if a brand new pair of 07 UMC worth 570usd. If they worth that much and I pulled them off nicely, you guys will see me in them as soon as I sell one of my thanaz 8GZs. After all, I love the UMC on HEDI the most (I think they are 07UMC cuz he left DIOR homme in 2007 and a main designer should get his latest piece of work)
Zdenal, sorry man!!! Thanks for pointing me to the right direction cuz If I get something not 100%cotton I'm just gonna trash them:( that will end up losing a ton of money... I'll post some fit pics here if I can pull off a pair of Bas17.5 W27 UMCs. I'm afraid I may fail doing so:(

In my experience, jeans with a bit of stretch have lasted me longer than pure cotton. My best guess is that while cotton is tougher than elastane, having them be stretchier eases the strain that can cause them to wear apart or rip over time.

Yes, that's true. Well I'd prefer my jeans with pure cotton simply becuz I want them to stretch a little bit more naturally. Elastane jeans like jake do fit superbly!! they shrink to the original shape after you put them back in the closet for a while. and they're not easily ripped. Well, when I wear elastane and cotton jeans, they feel ALMOST the same, but I don't know why, I just can't convince myself to wear elastane ones. Poor me, I can never own a pair of jake:( those are truely beautiful.

Just a technical question, how do you guys make the stack by hand?

For the elastane jeans, they can't be thick. I think that's another reason I won't get them from LVR. They are true legend!!!
