Fully canvassed, very pronounced drop, skinny arms, high arm holes.  Pants are a bit baggy, but that can be altered.  I'll post some pics when my tailor's done with it.  It's a little on the long side for my taste, but I have a feeling the super cropped suit jacket may be starting to fade from high style.

Here's a link to a black version on Sak's page.  I think it's the classic Dior suit.

In a sense, you are right. They are. Though understanding Dior as a fashion house means understanding them and men's fashion before (and after) Hedi Slimane. When he started designing for them in 2001, the typical silhouette of men's clothes were much wider and classically "masculine" with looser cuts and broader shoulders with larger features. It was Slimane who most famously introduced the slender/skinny frame and austere, dark aesthetics to menswear. His models and clothing were much more androgynous by comparison.

Ultimately though, a suit is and always will be a suit. And while high fashion often takes risks, what really separates a Dior suit from the rest is in the details. While Hedi no longer designs Dior or Dior Homme (that would be Kris van Assche), they still mostly follow in his stylistic legacy. Their suits are made to best fit men with a thin frame and modern style. The embellishments are subtle but deliberate, in choices ranging from the overall fabric to trim on the lapels (which, for example, tend to be much slimmer than those from other designers). And just like DH raws, it all starts with the cut.

And that's great. Though if you're expecting anything immediately striking and obvious, like the washes on certain DH jeans, you might be disappointed. But you shouldn't be.

Just my thoughts.

Wow congrats! I can't believe it man those are do fine! They look better on you than anything I've ever seen you wear. I'm so impressed
post #107 of 785
Nice! Are those clawmarks 19 or 17.5cm?
Snow, I got these for bout 450USD. For brand new ones, they cost like 700USD. They are very amazing!
Jeanetic, thank you!! I really appreciate that. One of my friends wanna sell 07 UMC 17.5cm W27 for 600 USD. I'm still thinking bout it...
Msalonen, I think there is no 17.5 clawmarks. Both of my clawmarks are 19cm cut. If i'm wrong, correct me immediately.
Thanks Marcus! You're probably right. I shouldn't be afraid of the 19cm cut then if they look like that.

Also, really tempted to buy these! Do they look good. Also checking to see if they're legit.

They look legit to me. Great wash there, you can check them out at someone called denimdrivesmecrazy on the other site(I mean, not denim blog) he has a lovely collection included DIOR "day off". I knew this wash becuz of him. Google "denimdrivesmecrazy "!!

If I'm a size 30 in diesel do you think I'll fit in a size 30 for DH? At least maybe for that wash. Because I know you usually have to size up for Dior.
If you can pull off thanaz in 30, then get DIOR 19cm in 31. They fit much tighter than thanaz. That would be risky if you get the same size as thanaz/thavar when you have no idea what the measurements are.

Marcus, DO NOT buy UMC 17.5 from 07 in your diesel size. With the 17.5 cut you generally need to size up from Dior sizing. For Dior sizing you generally need to size up from diesel sizing. And from 07 UMC I've heard you need to size up from that so I wouldn't go buying a bunch of size 27 DH unless you no for certain it's your size. With the 17.5 cut its always better to get it too big since the legs are so skinny.

Put it this way, I wear 28 in diesel thavar. Almost all of my DH are 29 except for some that run small like blur crash and easy James (also tried to get UMC in 29 but it was too small) in those I got size 30. Thats two sizes up from diesel and they still fit relatively tight.

Those DH in the eBay link are legit
Thanks guys! And thats an interesting point jeanetic. It makes me wonder if I should go for a pair of 17.5 jakes I found on ebay in size 33. Normally I'm 30 in diesel, but sizing up two to 32 would make 33 not too big maybe...

Maybe. Get measurements first. The aw11 Jakes ran large (from LVR anyways) and the rear rise on Jakes can be low which causes them to fit tighter than you expect even though the waist may seem to be the correct measurement. I can wear a diesel that is 15.5 across but for MII Dior I need atleast 16 even if both front rises are 9.5". It's all because of the rear rise on the MII DH. MIJ Dior has a higher rear rise so it fits different.

Marcus, those waxed claw marks look epic on you!  The 19cm cut fits you perfect.

Dude, jake is indeed super tight.
Jeanetic, so you mean I need to find UMC in 28 right? Then I'll have to wait until they pop out somewhere. Thanks for stopping me!! Or i will end up paying a lot for something I can't pull off. I wanna try them on if possible. Don't worry, I will buy after knowing they fit me the way I like which means I won't buy without trying them on. No reckless decision!!
Thank you, sirgrotius. They are not as tight as other 19cms. Jeans made in 2005 run bigger than others. I still love them so much. After all, they are some madass designed by HEDI, the maniac.
Jeanetic, are "painted day" and "rack rail painted" worthy to pay that much? Or I'll just wait for UMC?

Well yeah just get measurements first: waist (aligned), front rise, rear rise, thigh, knee, hem, inseam.

damn, so that means since my thavar 886B i fit 31 perfectly, but a size loose on the waist, thats about it tho. im sz 32 in 19cm and 17.5cm dior cuts? ( i have big legs since i work out 4 times a week)

then i might be thinking of getting those pairs...anybody got a screenshot of that jeans in wearing? because i know yoox makes the worst pictures, looks nothing close to that in person lol.
