Girls.. do you like TR's on guys or do they....

Do you think TR's on guys make them look gay? I have read alot of discussion on this and alot of people say they look very gay on men, any input?

I think the Joey style with the flap pockets might make them look girly, but I've seen the Bobby and the MIcky on guys and it looks really good without looking feminine.

do you have any pics of the mickey? also I think the twisted seams add to the girlyness of the joey's.

looking feminine doesn't = looking gay, though.

imo the metrosexual look has pretty much eliminated any real foundations for figuring out someone's sexual orientation based on what they're wearing...

i really don't get why so many men are so insecure about being mistaken for gay? (not meant as a flame at all, i just don't get it!)

the reason why is because I do not enjoy getting hit on by gay guys or told I look good by gay guys, no insercurities but it just feels weird and uncomfortable.. anyways I really like TR's but wanted to get a female perspective of what they think when they see a guy with them on...

funny you should bring this up. I was at the mall yesterday and I saw this guy walking around, he had on dark blue joeys and a black zip up sweater that had a mock turtleneck. I watched him walk as a bunch of girls turned and looked at him, there were two girls walking behind him and they were making fun of his walk and probably his jeans too!! IMO, I don't like the joeys on guys.

BECKS YOU LIE!!! Remember when I was asking if I should go w/ joeys or bobbys you said joeys!!!

I get all kind of compliments when I wear my TR-from girls and guys(the guys are usually sales associates) But if I like something I dont care if what others think...anyways its not like your're buying the women's joeys as a male...

And you said they were laughing-how was this guy walking/ and how tight were his jeans? That has a lot to do with perceptions-if the jeans are all the up your butt and your walking like Miss J(Top MoDel) than chances are people will think you are gay

ok I did not lie! I do like the joeys better than the bobbys on guys but doesn't mean I like either one on guys. Well take that back, depends on if you fill out the jeans or not. I saw this guy at Disneyland and he had them on and they looked horrible! I saw another guy at the Bev Center with them on and they looked awesome, so guess it depends on your butt!!

Oh and the guy I saw at the mall where the girls were making fun of him, he was walking like he had a stick up his butt! And he was walking like he thought he was the shit, so maybe that's why I was turned off by the jeans on him.

It was probably his mock turtleneck that made him look off

Tracy, what type of jeans does your hubby like? Mine wears what I buy him which arent designer jeans. Just curious what other members hubbies like.

Mine does too, but he won't wear too low of a rise, and won't wear too much of anything on the pockets either. I am going to try to work him into Diesel or PD&C for Christmas...wish me luck. He just LOVES his Levi's!

He wears Abercrombie Saranac and Porter jeans. He will not, ABSOLUTELY not wear jeans that are made for both sexes. He will wear Hurley, Billabong if necessary but really likes his A&F jeans. He does have a pair of Lucky's though and likes those but has a hard time finding a style he really loves.

i don't mind them. I actually like bobby's on guys way better than joeys. I've only seen one guy ever (at school) with some tr bobby's on..and I swear he generally repluses me (he's a glarer) but I was about to crawl at his feet. They were hot. Saw one guy in joeys, and I think they just sat too low, the pockets were wayyyy below his booty and to me that's unattractive.

I love my joey's, I have a few pairs, but I wear all of them relaxed.... wearing them tight never seemed to appeal to me...

they dont look gay.

but i dont understand. why does it matter if another guy tells you that you look good in your jeans? shouldnt you feel complimented, rather than uncomfortable? i mean, i guess i could understand if someone were to say "hey, you look really hot in those jeans... wanna put your dick in my mouth?"

but its not like people actually say that. so, seriously. dont worry so much.

Csirip, I am not sure if you wear womens jeans at all but have you seen the new SFAM pegged leg jean? It made me think of you actually, and that is what we called it when I was in Jr. High many moons ago.

pretty much only Levi's for mine. but they don't make many designer jeans in his size, so i don't blame him.

yeah, mine destroys jeans, too! funny that. i almost never show any wear on mine. sometimes i wish my jeans would distress on their own as fast as his seem to!

I like simpler jeans on guys...I always think it looks a little too much when I see Joeys or embroidered Joeys on guys.

But in terms of what to buy, you should most definitely buy what you WANT and what you think looks good on you!! If they carry themselves well and seem like they are confident with what they're wearing...that's really the best

You girls in this thread can say you don't like joeys on guys, but in real life, I probably get more compliments from women on my pants when I wear TR Joeys than when I wear sevens or diesels.

It doesn't really bother me if gay guys tell me that they like my jeans. It doesn't even bother me if they are attracted to me; if anything, it is flattering. And in most cases, if they know I am straight, they wont bother hitting on me (If they do hit on me, I'm big enough that when I tell them I am straight, they stop :P )
