It is a limited edition wash made for the Planet Stores across the globe.  In other words, in the US you can only get it at 5th Ave NYC, in Italy you can only get it in the Milan store, etc.  The other stores exactly, idk about it so look into it.  The fit for the US is called Thavar-US, same as Thavar just a limited edition wash so they called it Thavar-US for the fit to make it more special :)

Larkee 74Y on the left vs Thavar-US 75G on the right.  Notice that the 74Y has black patches behind the tears and the tears are open as opposed to the much less visible slight abrasions on the 75G wash.  Also notice the circles on the thigh of the 74Y which the 75G does not have.  Lastly, the 75G has (in the US version at least) a blue "U" and a red and white "S" on the right thigh that you can't see that easily (mostly not the blue "U") unless you look closely.  You can see it on the first picture barely, just a little red and white looking shape.  Neither have been washed so this is how they will actually look brand new.  Pics:

EDIT- THE FIT COMPARISON: as stated above, 75G has NO give and were pretty tight on the knees so I sized up even though the waist is bigger than I would normally want, I did it for the extra room on the leg especially the knee.  The 74Y fit with what seemed like a little more give, but we only got Larkee 74Y so that in itself is a much more relaxed/loose fit compared to Thavar.  I would have taken the 74Y in a size 28 while I took the 75G in a size 29.

Are any of them made in Tunisia please? Thavar-US in the picture look like italian. Any of these washes are made in Tunisia?

The ones that made in Tunisia usually cost less, so no they are both MII

^^^Both made in Italy.

Sideways, please let me know how they fit. I'm also 30 in thavar. And debating between 30 or 31. Your feedbacks will bw greatly appreciated.

I ordered them in a size 30w, my usual Thavar size, but now I'm wondering if I should have sized up to a 31. Oddly enough, I also ordered some Thavar 8880m's in a size 30w which I've been hearing run kinda big in the leg, lets hope they both fit!

^Will do man, really hoping they come tomorrow. I bought the 75G's blindly after hearing Artnouveau's description, but after seeing tookwick4ya's pics they look even better than I was expecting.

Alright here's the first pic of my new arrivals. Left: Thavar 8880M; Right: Thavar-US 75G. Very impressed with both of these jeans. The 8880M's are super soft and extremely comfortable, plus they look MUCH better in person than they do in pics- lots of subtle details. As for the 75G's, well the picture speaks for itself, they are just an amazing wash all around! Fit pics to come soon.

IMO...Thavar 880M IS WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Better than 8880M. Ive seen them both in person. thavar 880M is probably one of Diesel's 25 best washes of all time. its super vintage, golden treated, bleach effected, and manually abraded all over. its a one of a kind wash. 880M over 8880m any day!

^Being an owner of both the 880m and 8880m, I respectfully disagree and much prefer the new 8880m. Sure the 880m is cool to look at on the rack (which is probably why I bought them in the first place haha) but for daily wear I find the 880m to be way overdone, the orange paint splatters and huge bleach splotches at the bottom of the hem kill it for me. I am also not a fan of how the faded areas look almost yellow on the 880m. Of all my Diesel jeans, I probably wear the 880m the least.

But I guess it boils down to personal taste. I like simplicity and subtle details, so naturally the 8880m is better suited to me. I think the 8880m is a great summer wash that I'll get good use out of this year and also find it to be much more versatile than the 880m.

I will take some pics of my 880m and 8880m side by side so people can get a better comparison. But personally, I'm glad the 'dirty new age' campaign of Diesel is over, and I'm liking the cleaner washes of this season.

Both fit really well lee, especially the thanaz-a. And yes, lose the shoes on the 8kj.

Wow, really nice fit on thanaz-a. Make me want to try it now.

Thanks Phukette and Dieselicious. I am really pleased with both pairs. I am considering wearing my Thanaz-A at school. I might be able to get away with them with a short and tie whilst I am teaching and not have to wear trousers.

The black one is really good! You could make the jeans a little bit shorter :)

Nice birthday present for yourself Lee, both fit well and look uber smart :) . Did you see my 3 new pairs in the other thread?

Of course this is an opinion.  I own both 880M and 8880M and I will agree that pictures don't do the 8880M justice either because the subtle details are hard to see in the pictures.  I would say that the look of the 880M to me is a BIT kooler but the fit and comfort of 8880M is the best.  I don't think I've ever had a better fitting and more comfortable Thavar than 8880M.  Super soft and roomier on the legs than most Thavars which is a good thing to me.  If you wear it with contrast on top such as a nice vintage medium blue they look amazing!

Hi,

does anybody have the possibilty to visit one of those stores which is selling the Thavar 75G? It would be great, if someone can buy one of those pants for me (size 32/34 or even better 33/34, shipping to Germany). Can anybody help me?

Thanks

Is the Thavar 75G only available in Length 32? Can someone mention the inseam of the L32, please?

Thanks

WHY ?

Because they didn't look like the pictures I have seen before for example this one.

http://a248.e.akamai.net/origin-cdn.volusion.com/5yjdq.wckb2/v/vspfiles/photos/Diesel%20Shioner%2074Y-2T.jpg

The "hole" in the left knee area looks very ugly with the orange stitching.
