thavar 888P pics and comparison with 8X2

here are pics of the new thavar 888P in size 28X30. it's a really nice wash, faded blue with minor alterations and some ink spots. very subtle light blue. great jeans. thick material (cotton), true to size.

i have added a pic of both 888P and 8X2, they are very different actually. moreover the 8X2 is shorter (both are 28X30) but one reason is that the 888P is brand new, not worn, and creases at the lower leg will extend as you use to wear them.

I personally think 888p looks more like 880m.

my opinion is that they are the kind of jeans made in italy which quality is far beyond other poor quality washes, i.e. 8B9, even if for the latter diesel jeans quality is better than many other brands... (i have a pair of 8b9 too !)
they are worth their fairly high price. the denim is thick, subtle, you can almost see some green, yellow and off white mixed with the blue. they are IMO far more interesting and brilliant than past summer diesel blue jeans collection, if you compare for instance with the 8PI or 8W7 from SS 2011.
and faded areas are subtle too, they do not contrast a lot with the "darker" areas, in comparison with the 880M for instance, or tepphar washes.

I'm soo envious of your Thavar 888P in 28x30.. exactly the size and pair I want.. but we Canadians dont get it yet.. I'm hoping China will have some.. heading over to Beijing next month and there's 5 Diesel stores including 1 outlet. fingers crossed!

so thats why i didnt see a damn pair when i went and bought thavar 886B.

I still don't own any Thavar cut yet!!!!!! arrrrrghhhh.  I was this close pulling trigger on the 8Y9 turbo but I already have my Nudies for that.. so I'm holding out on the 888p!!

Get the 8x2 or 886b in Thavar. IMo there is nothing Diesel has come out with that can compare to those two washes and both are in Thavar. Some will disagree with me on this but I know that at the end of the day most people here love 886b and 8x2 and have them near or at the top of their favorites. You should go for one like that I think. I think I like the 888p but whats with the shortness?

i think the shortness because the jeans are new, not worn and the creases at the bottom will disappear when you wear them ; denim will extend.

 

i agree with you, 886B and 8x2 are great washes and give a even higher level of quality and work.

8NE from SS2011 collection was nice too but there was to much contrast between fading and dark blue denim areas.

depends on the pair u got really. when i saw mine in the store i got a pair that was more bluish on the thighs instead of more white. love this wash!!!

I think I will go w/ your advice.. 8x2 if I really cannot get my hands on a 888P... should I get 28 or size up or size down in the 8x2?? I saw it in the stores before its quite stiff, but they didn't have my size.

i like the big contrast. my thavar 8x2 has a very little fading... dont like as much as those 8x2's with an almost white fading

I dont agree with this because the creases at the bottom are there for stacking. Its a feature of the wash just like with 8x2 and 880g, and 886b. I dont want to have the creases go away and then it be long enough. I want it to be long enough with the creases like the washes I just mentioned.

If your legs are any bigger than bird legs I wouldnt. I have bird legs and I sized down to 28 and they fit really snug, but loosened over time. If you end up getting a too tight pair then you can always put them on wet to stretch them.

they fit like my thavar 880m 28w which fit me f'ing tight (these are 29w30L) , but I think it will stretch, in width and in lenght. Anyone who ever tried or has 74k will understand.

Thanks people. @above got it from asos. didn't see it in any store nor diesel store. I think it his camera making light pics. Mine could be a little bit lighter but not much. I have seen the braddom in different stores, all look the same and my thavar looks the same. So i dont think there is much difference between particular pairs, only in which light conditions the pics are taken.
