man this is good looking jean... I tried on the 881w and its also super soft; after looking at these now I am not sure between 880r vs 881w.. a local shop has 881w on sale for $150CAD vs $250 on eBay for the 880r's.. dammit.

Yes,i think that all tepphar jeans are softer than other cuts. It's a very difficult dilemma between 881W - 88OR.Both washes are amazing so you can't decide easily icon_razz.gif.In my opinion.if y could find your number in 881W then go for them because it's a better deal than the other.

Thanks for the advice!!! the store here has 28x32 in stock.. I will hafto get them to hem it to 30.5 for me.  stores in Canada does not carry 30L for some stupid reason.

do you have worn fit pix? hopefully would like to see them again before I make final decision within days.

thanks man!

880R is an amazing looking wash.  I have them in Darron and they are super soft, comfortable and stretchy.  They did run a bit tighter than my usual Darrons though on the thigh and calf which I liked! One thing- Don't wash the 880R or it will lose its gold tone and turn into a white looking fade (unless you want that!).  If you MUST, wash it inside out only but it'll still fade somewhat.

Other thing to note- Tepphar usually does feel softer because Diesel usually adds Elastane to Tepphar to make it stretchier since it's such a skinny fit and would be very restrictive otherwise.  Of course except in the case of the Tepphar 8Y9 Turbo wash which is like Raw denim.

Especially for a collector, I'd go with 881W all day.  They made a lot less of those (it's called the Golden Bullet Wash) and the softness and stretch of these are, in my opinion, superior to that of the 880R.  Plus, the 881W (in the US at least) sold for I believe $70 more than 880R at retail! 880R will also be easier to find later on.  This is all assuming you can only choose one!

Yah Thanks!! I did buy that 881W about 2 weeks ago. I still haven't make it back to Holts to pick them up yet!! I'll do that tomorrow and will post fit pix over the weekend!!!!!  I just hope that they don't get more stuff in while I'm picking up jeans otherwise it'll be hard to resist trying on new stuff!
