Penfield x Maharishi SUMMIT Down Parka (Black Feather Camouflage)
Will Ship To: Anywhere
Up for sale is my Autumn/Winter 2006 Penfield x Maharishi Edition "Summit" Down Parka in the Black Feather Camouflage colorway (which for the record is quite a bit harder to come by than its Army Green Camouflage counterpart.)
The little size tag somehow went missing from the inside, but it is a Men's LARGE, and that I am certain of.
This model is long sold out considering the fact that its from several seasons ago, I've seen several pop up on eBay. However, they're generally going for around $250 and they're always in the other colorway. I still have yet to see another one of these in the black feather colorway.
I am asking $230 to start off with, but theres one of those little "Make An Offer" options. See it? Yeah, don't hesitate to click it and send me your best bet. Who knows, I may just let it go. I could certainly use the cash :)
Shell/Lining are made of 100% Nylon, and the filling out of an 80% goosedown blend.
The SUMMIT model is quite a bit heftier than she of the other common Penfield models such as the ROCKFORD or STAPLETON so just keep in mind that this is a true goosedown puffer, made to keep you warm when you should be freezing your ass off. Its not just a light jacket to throw on and keep yourself toasty.
This model was a collaboration between the brands Penfield and the designer Maharishi. If looked at from a distance, the jacket just looks to be black/greyscale camofalgue but upon closer inspection you'll see that the camouflage itself is composed of various brushstroke style feathers as well as the Penfield bear head logo. The pattern was inspired by the Belgian brushstroke pattern released in 1956 that was issued to elite troops such as paratroopers and marines. The design evolved from a pattern of green and brown strokes named by collectors as the ‘moon and balls’ pattern. In DPM: Penfield Down Stroke, the brushstrokes have been replaced by feathers that symbolize the warmth and light of Penfield products.
Features a fully adjustable/detachable hood, front zip with snap-over storm flap, 4 pockets which includes 2 microfleece-lined hand-warmer pockets, 1 interior pocket, elasticized cuffs, and an adjustable drawcord at hem.
NOTE: The very last button to the bottom has a small ding in it from being bent at one point but it has been straightened out and still functions perfectly as a snap. :) Aside from that tiny little defect there, this jacket is in damn near mint condition. Especially considering the fact that it is a 2006 model. That being said, if you've got any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to shoot me a message.
