Bing has released their list of the most commonly searched fashion brands for 2011 and for the second year in a row, Gucci is the number 1 searched fashion brand!
Personally, I was surprised that Gucci took the first place title. While the brand is iconic, its surprising that a more recognizable and non-luxury company, like Abercrombie & Fitch, for example, was not first.
The rest of the list includes:
2. Ralph Lauren
3. Y-3
4. Louis Vuitton
5. Chanel (down from 3rd last year)
6. Guess
7. J. Crew
8. Coco Chanel
9. John Galliano
10. Burberry.
The most surprising to me was Y-3, I had no idea it was such a searchable brand! I do think #8, Coco Chanel, is a bit misleading as she is not really a "fashion brand" and Chanel already made the list at #5. As for #9, I wonder how much his scandal at Dior contributed to his ranking.
