Nikita A Pocket Sizing Help!

This is my first foray into designer jeans and my first jeans purchase since giving birth almost two years ago. I gained an obscene amount of weight during my pregnancy (50 lbs.) and have been slowly losing it, although I still have 10 lbs. to go. I'm currently 5'5" and 140 lbs. I just bought a pair of Nikita A Pockets in a size 31 on Amazon. It was the only size left and deeply discounted. I have no idea about sizing for 7FAM, although I've read this style and wash stretches considerably. Will a 31 be too big on me?

It's impossible to tell if the size will be OK based on your weight... Compared to other 7FAM this style tends to run big but my pair is TTS, it depends on the batch too. So you'll only know when you get them! :-)

Thanks, Ruth. I find jeans sizing really frustrating for the reasons you mention, and the only stores in my area don't carry luxury brands, so I can't try them on first. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
