How do you guys trade jeans?

People do, but I wouldn't recommend it unless it's with a member you know VERY well and have become very close to. In 4 years on all the forums combined, I've only done like 3 trades period, and I generally won't do them at all (since I sell jeans as a secondary source of income, trades don't really help me out any). Just be really aware of who you're dealing with if you want to do a trade.

I think it would be good to send them to a 3rd party, like Ruth or someone who is reputable like that.Each party send the jeans to the 3rd party along with prepaid shipping labels going to the other person. The 3rd party could inspect the items and send them on their way. This would be a good business for someone to do on the side(as long as that person could authenticate the items being sent). Each person could pay $5 fee or something to the 3rd party. That would be the only almost foolproof way of doing it.

I dont think he will do that, because no one does. The system itsinmyjeans proposes is something amazon also uses. You sent the items to them and they sent it to customers.

Amazon has in fact the same system as ebay, they only charge however higer sellingfees, 15% ...However with amazon its possible to let them handle the whole saleprocess, by sending them the articles. If you sell something, and the customer pays, they first block the money till the article is really delivered with the customer (they send the article to the customer). There are also seperate firms that do this processing for ebayers. My formeraccountmanager from ebay started such a company in Berlin, germany. They take over the complete customerprocess, so sending the items and answering questions/complaints. So its in fact some kind of outsourcing.

This would be a nice idea except that Ruth lives in Spain and shipping to and from there would be ungodly expensive...:S

If you wanted to do the third-party thing you might ask Marc - he's in New York. I know he sells and ships out a lot though, so he might be pretty busy already.
