first pair of raw denim, need them tall

Thread Starter

Hello

I am new to dry jeans and definitely want a pair but I have a problem that I am 6'4". Currently I wear 36x36 jeans and I can't seem to find any dry denim jeans that are 36L. And I prefer a more regular cut or a straight cut, than to skinnier cuts (I like some room in the thighs lol)

Can somebody help me please?

Thanks

- Dior 19cm raw jeans made in japan come usually with a 37 inseam but are pricey these days. around $400. You can find these are barneys or online on ebay or superfuture's marketplace

- Naked & Famous slim guy or weird guy also comes with a long inseam around 36-37 and are around $150

- If you want premium raw japanese denim they usually come with longer inseams and are the best of the best. you can check them out at selfedge.com and blueingreensoho.com

Diorz are long enough for everybody..., you can find RAWs in 19cm (" slimmer Safado'ish cut") and 21cm (more relaxed) cuts. All my pairs (raws and washed) are longer than 36inches / 93cm. MIJ RAWs are the longest pair with 37,4 in / 95cm inseam.

Quote for truth. Naked & Famous jeans are ridiculously long, some pairs even go up to 38".

Go with the Diors.  They seem to last super well from what I've seen (have yet to have a pair of their raws myself... still tracking down a pair in the 17.5 cm cut...).  Also, their inseams tend to be 37" or even more.  The one pair of DHs that I've had actually had a full 40" inseam.  I'm waiting on a 2nd pair in the mail right now, so we'll see how those measure when I get them.  In any case, DHs tend to fade really well, last really long, and their fits are pretty sick, so that's what I would suggest.

Wow!  That's expensive if you're tall!  Thankfully, I'm only 6 foot 2, so can get away with 34" inside leg.  However some jeans seem to have trouble with measurements.  I used to buy Joe Browns by mail order, but the sizes varied so much, that I was regularly sending things back. I've recently used FC on mail order and they've been fine. The ones I have ordered and can't wait to come are the ones here.. King Crimson jeans   ..

I've seen them on a mate and they look great.

And of course it helps that I remain a big fan of the English Prog Rock Band King Crimson!!

Dior homme all the way. I like the 19 inch. But if you wanna have relax fit..go with the 21cm. If you want raw , you could go barneys to see if they fit you.
