Strange White Marks On My G-Stars

Hi, I have the G-Star Arc Loose Tapered in the '3D Raw Blue Brace Denim.' They aren't actually raw denim, but coated, they don't even look like denim, the reverse is quite shiny too. Anyways, after wearing them around the house a bit, I noticed weird white marks all over the jeans, at random places. They went away with a damp cloth but after about 10-20 minutes more marks appeared. This is very annoying and I'm condsidering returning them (I haven't worn them out the house yet.) I'm presuming these marks are because of the fact they're coated, but is there any way to prevent them? Would washing the jeans a few times get rid of the coat or not? Any suggestions guys?

If you wash it a couple times, then the coat will probably disappear, but then you'll have some very ordinary denim, no point buying coated denim if you want to get rid of it. Return it.

I didn't but them because they are coated, I bought them because they were the style I wanted (my mum hates them though haha) I have returned them though, as I can't really be sure what's going to happen, I'll just find something else. Thanks

Sorry to be a bit thick... can you tell me more about "coated" denim?  Is it something sprayed on?  Thanks
