Crotch Blow-out "Pre"-patched

Hey DB people! I just got a nice pair of Diesel and I was wondering...if I can pre-patch the crotch area so it won't wear out too fast.  The fit is a little tight, that's why I am worrying about the blow-out.  Has anyone tried this before?  Would it work??

Of course you can and it will probably wear out anyway but you'll be secure inside in case something decides to come out and say hi.
