EDIT: Sizing on non-stretch Thanaz, period.

How do the above mentioned jeans fit compared to the Darron 8DK? I can still fit into my W28 Darron 8DK, although it gets very tight, I would wager that a W29 would be more of a better fit. I know Thanaz are skinny jeans and so would run tighter than Darrons so would a Thanaz 8DK @ W31 be a good fit for me?

 

I'd like some help with this before I buy the Thanaz from someone. Thanks.

if you wear size 29 and you can even size down to 28, size 31 will be HUGE. sizing up 2 also on wash where is better to size down.... LOL

I've never worn Thanaz before. For some bizarre reason, I thought Thanaz was a bootcut jean. I probably kept thinking it was the same as Zathan.

 

So Thanaz is a wash people normally size down?

 

Edit - All signs point to yes it seems. Ugh, the seller only wore it 3-4 times and it wasn't washed. Such a waste. -_-

Thanaz = cut

8DK = wash

 

From your first post I would say you are size 29 in Thanaz, but there are some washes, which stretch out a lot (around 1 size) or which are bigger (were made like one size bigger).

And 8DK is wash, which usually stretch out around one size. So you can go with size 29 (but they CAN stretch out a lot) or size down and take size 28.

 

But because you never tried Thanaz on, it's really hard to say, which is your standard Thanaz size, but size 31 would be huge for sure. Hope this helps.

 

Edited: btw. try to search Thanaz 8DK, there are tons of post about this cut + wash combo.

Okay I changed the thread title to reflect my change of heart. I'll be getting some 100% cotton Thanaz jeans and need some advice on the fit. Compared to the Shioner and Tepphar, how much of a difference is the Thanaz? I wear Shioner W27 and Tepphar W29, so what Thanaz fit is best considering these?

You wear 27 shioner, 28 darron, 29 tepphar,  and the darron's are tight, I bet the shioners are very tight, and the tepphars are so tight you needed a 29, so you probably need a 29 thanaz, especially if 100% cotton. But it could range from 28 to 30. Warning, depending on the wash, all thanaz do not fit the same. They are the same cut, but the fabric differences seem to result in different sizing. I have loose size 28 thanaz and tight size 30 thanaz.

i would add that for thanazs anytime you have elastane (elastin) you can size down at least 1 size and sometime 2.

especially some washes : 8LP, 81E, 8L4, 86C, 8DK for instance...

but curiously, my 8SV in 28x30 are TTS...
