Tepphar 8Y9 turbodenim raws... fit pics after 23 wears, one week from Diesel's recommended wash...

I've put pictures up roughly once a week on Authentic Forum and thought I'd post some fit pics over here also for anyone interested in buying a pair of these.  Here's mine after my 23rd wear today.  I'm not planning on washing after 30 (I really haven't worn them all that hard), but I'll probably wash after like 50 or something.  Fit was originally outrageously tight in my normal Diesel size (31 lately), but they've loosened up a lot and I think the fit is exactly how I like it at this point.

I would definitely highly recommend these.  People had called them the "fast food version of raw denim", but IMO, they seem to be fading at least as well as your average pair of $400 Japanese raws posted on SuperFuture (although much faster).  The fit is absolutely superb (better than Thanaz IMO) and the denim seems pretty nice.  Now go and buy a pair...

I can only partly agree with that. It's true, the Tepphar cut has like 2 cm less leg opening than Thanaz/Thavar/Shioner so it fits extremely narrow, legging-like on the lower legs.

However, you can avoid creating the look of leggings by stacking them, just like in the posted pics in this thread.

In the crotch, ass and tighs region, Tepphar fits slightly roomier than its skinny likes, being true to its characteristic skinny carrot fit.

You really have to like its style and you've got to have the legs for it, but Tepphar is an awesome cut imo.

Yeah my legs were not made for those. Thanaz/thavar is as skinny as I can get. Thanaz is the prefect cut for me.

^Did you try the 8Y9? I think it's the only Tepphar wash without stretch that's around currently.

The 8W3 and 8Y0 washes are probably more comfortable since they have stretch, 8Y0 being the stretchiest.

I tried 8Y0. Loved the wash but way too skinny. I didn't like how they felt on my legs.

man i so want the turbodenim in viker. would buy those in a heartbeat. i cant stand this cut. when i tried them on literally a struggle to get my feet through the openings. (size 12 shoe here). getting them off was even harder. hopefully this wash will be released on more cuts soon. i love the idea of turbo denim. raw denim is incredible looking but i think wearing jeans for 6+ months w/o washing is str8 up fucking nasty. especially since i usually go camando  hehe071.gif

In 4 years leggings might be the norm. You better get used to them fast. :O

i wear w31 in thanaz

should i also go for w31 for tepphar 8y9 ?

highly doubtful. i give the trend maybe another 5 years if that. just look at 'jnco's anything too loose or too tight on the human body is just a trend really...

What's with all the leggings comparisons?  Haha.  They're not THAT tight.  I'd say they're pretty similar to a Thanaz above the knee and a little tighter below.  yuck_fou, yeah, that should work.  They're going to be really tight at first, but they loosen up nicely.

Tepphar looks good on thin to slim thigh'd legs. Any bigger and it ends up looking like Jeggings. If you got stick legs, go for it. I'm lucky to have perfectly straight and proportionate legs, and I might get the 8Y0/3 washes after I try em out. 653.gif heehee

@cander49, I'm gonna be honest witchu ... while the legs from knees down look okay, your thighs make it look "legging-y". It's so tight I can literally see your phone screen. If someone calls you, will your pants light up? lol, sorry for the joke. But yeah, it is pretty "toight", as Goldmember would say. :P

i had to size up on the Tepphar

normally a thanaz 29 x 32 , but tepphars are too tight so i got 30 x 30 (shorter is the new trend)

ive worn mine for about a week, but haven't seen much fading yet

I would like to know how's the rise on these Tepphars? I would appreciate a slightly higher rise than Thanaz.

Haha, nah, the denim is way too dark.   I guess I went for them as tight as I could pull them off just to get better fades.  If the jeans were looser, they probably wouldn't fade all that well.  I'm actually pretty fat compared to normal right now since I haven't been able to exercise whatsoever for awhile (mononucleosis relapse caused by running too many hard races too soon after initially being sick), so whenever they're done fading and I drop the weight back off, I'll have good fades and a looser pair of jeans.

i have just bought a pair of these jeans but did not realise the hole fade in 30 days thing with these (stupid really)  i like the more raw denim look to as opposed to the 30 day faded look but to be honest i wont be wearing them 7 days a week, so do they really fade as easy as they make out? im hopeing not.

wash them once, so the actual look is "locked"

wait whats supposed to happen exactly when you wash them?

What yuck_fou! meant was when you wash new jeans once, the denim's dye will only wash away up to a certain point. I mean, it's not like the washed jeans will come out of the machine with all of its color gone (unless you were dumb enough to put bleach in it). ie, If blekko washed his jeans once before wearing it, then that fade would not have happened as the after-wash dye job is more permanent than the outer coating, which would drain away slower and with more exposure. This is what he means by "locking" the actual look.
