So I've talked with a merchant a couple days now about some jeans. He's asking that I send them via "gift" instead of merchandise, so he can avoid fees.
I know you cannot dispute Paypal gift transactions, but if the merchant decides not to ship the item, will I still be able to file a chargeback with my credit card company if that's what Paypal withdrew from?
I don't mind paying as a gift to get rid of fees, but if it also gets rid of all the security I have to make sure I get my item.. then I dunno :x
