Questions about hemming!

So I'm pretty new to the concept of "hemming", from what I understand it's the best way to shorten any jeans that I might have. But I'm wondering where exactly one should go to get this done? I'm hesitant to bring a $100+ pair of jeans to the store and ask them to chop off an inch or two, but as I said, I'm new to the concept so I'm not sure how it works. I've also heard of eurohemming (original/unoriginal?) and I was hoping someone could clarify these terms >.<

Are hemmed jeans still looking as good as they are unhemmed? I'm also afraid of ruining a nice pair of jeans with something ugly at the end of the leg :x

Also I'm curious what the typical price is to get a pair of jeans hemmed is?

Thanks in advance!

It depends, sometimes I hemmed my jeans with original and sometimes I'll just fold the part in so it can be let out again.

If the jean's hem is specially washed/destroyed/destruct etc, then i would choose to hemmed it with original so the design can be kept. Is the hem is just ordinary like J Brand, then a simple fold in and hem is ok.

The good thing about the second part is that it doesn't require you to cut the clothing, and easy to resell it as well (to the taller ppl lol)

The best way IMO is eurohemming (tailor will put back the original hem), but I wouldn't buy and hem jeans, just because you can damage fit x tailor could do it wrong x some washes are too specific, hemming will kill it x etc.

Better is wait and search for size, which will fit you. I wouldn't buy and hem any jeans.
