i was reading over the randoms thread on our sister site jawnz and as usual broke ass andy was talking about how great target to walmart and how he would go to target instead of the wal even if it means saving himself .50 cents

i decided to take andy up on his offer and check out target for some biking gear and a sun visor for my car

i went to target and jotted down the prices then went to walmart to see if i can in fact only save fifty cents or if it was a significant sum that i can justify the slightly more rustic shopping experience

-2 water bottles with aluminum rack (Schwinn)

9.95 at target ea
6.95 at walmart ea

savings of over $6

-1 gel seat for bike

$19.95 at target
$9.95 at the wal

savings of over $10

-mongoose biking gloves

$15 at wal
$20 at target

savings of $5

-generic bubble/tin foil sun visor

$9.95 at target
$5.95 at walmart

savings of over $4

-$4gb micro sd memory for phone

total saved for just outdoor gear/electronics in a small trip $30

haha, i know you love the wal. but i wouldn't buy bike stuff at either place, most of my target purchases are household items (as i am an elderly lady).
when i was in walmart the other day with a coworker, i bought a package of my favourite undies, and those fuckers shorted me one .
my husband says when i am in there, my mouth hangs open in disbelief. i wasn't even aware i was doing it.
it ain't worth it.

where do you buy bike stuff

i have a local shop but they mark up everything like 300%

i was reading the difference between SRAM and Shimano shifters on wiki.. it's like a complete different language.. figuring that shit out.

did you know they have automatic shifters now, bike tech keeps evolving and here i thought they ran out of ideas for bicycles 20 years ago.

figure out what you want and look around online.
most of the stuff these days is pretty darn good.

i know target is more expensive than walmart, but the extra price is chump change and is worth the ease of mind in knowing that i got a product of higher quality.

ooooo i see

but the joke is on NAV because target employs more negros than the wal

you see target is owned by the FRENCH and since i live in miami all the haitians here are french (or formally french controlled) so they are really a lot more likely to be hired than the cubans because the staff speaks in creole

whereas walmart still employs a fair bit of caucasians and still feels like a part of the good ol USA.

the 4gb card i bought for my phone doesn't work... it's an SDHC
