What size is a 29 inch waist?

I went to my little sis's house tonite and finally had a chance to measure her. I want to buy her a pair that actually fits. She measured approx. 29 inches at a 7.5 inch rise? What does that equate to in Seven sizing?

Maybe her hips prevent her being being a size 26 because I have let her try on my jeans and she cannot even begin to get them up.

That might be true - I feel most comfortable with a 29" waist but then they are way too tight in the hips or butt. ost of my size 27's are about 15" or maybe 14.75.

I was, too. usually when I measure jeans it ends up being 2 inches larger than the tagged size (if that makes sense)
