Guys in Sevens??

Hi guys, I was just wondering if any of you wear Seven jeans. To me, seems a bit feminine. I was offered a pair of bootcuts for $50, but passed it up because I don't like the brand on a guy. Everytime I see the swivel, reminds me of a chick's jeans. From my experience, more guys wear Diesels and more gals wear Sevens. Let me know what you think.

Oh, and to follow up, I was thinking of buying the West Side Extreme Bootcuts made by Seven. I really like the wash, and I was going to buy it, but then I reconsidered because I really don't like the brand on a guy. I am still considering buying it, because the wash really is sick, but I think I'm going to pass it up to get a pair of True Religions Twisted Joeys.

I have found that mostly the reason that women like the sevens is the cut. There are like 100 different cuts for women, and they tend to be very form-fitting. On the other hand, seven really only makes two cuts for men, bootcut and relax. Neither is particularly interesting, and to be honest I think all the seven washes are a bit similar & boring. I think the draw for women has to be how they're all tight & form fitting. Since this isn't the case for men (nor would most want it to be) this means they are less popular. Also seven is not putting NEARLY as much effort into marketing for men, from what I can tell.

I have 2 pairs but i'm not buying anymore unless they either make some normal(non distressed washes) or remove that dumb squiggle on the back pants pocket.

That being said the relaxed fit is almost perfect for me, slightly better than diesel and just as good as apc or paper denim & cloth. If the jeans weren't as flared at the leg opening, they would be perfect to wear with anything.

I agree with you about the cut thing... there are only 2, relax and boot. I found the washes to be boring at first, (not anything nearly as distinguished as Diesel could do... especially with the new 764 out), but i found this:

...and kind of liked the wash. Still expensive, and probably too expensive for me to spend on sevens. Maybe if they were Diesels.

To tell you the truth, I am not a big fan of cuts in general, and can generally wear any sort of "normal" cut. I can't really tell the difference when I'm wearing bootcut and when I'm wearing relaxed.

I've been a fan of various diesels all with different cuts, ranging from the tight-fitting zathans to the looser lemmens, even to True Religions fairly baggy Joeys. I really don't notice too many differences in cut, unless they are fairly tight on me like the Zathans. Sometimes this annoys me, and I feel like I'm gay or wearing girl's pants by wearing such tight pants, but other than mentally, the fit doesn't bother me, and my gf thinks it looks good. She's a fan of "jeans that fit".

they have sevens with a lesser squiggle now.

i like the two pairs i have, but probably wouldn't buy more because the washes are too boring. they all look the same.

the relaxed fit sucks IMO, it's way too baggy.
the bootcut fit is good, it's not too tight but still has the ability to create shape.
the straight fit is okay, nothing special about it.

even their new washes aren't very exciting IMO. for the money they ask i'd rather have something else.

.

Designer name jeans are kinda gay if you ask me. Spending $100 on a pair of jeans is a joke. I will stick with my good old Levis or Lee jeans. I find it funny that kids will waste $200 on jeans that look like someone dragged them through the mud and cut holes in them. That is why I cant figure out the whole deal with anyone making replicas of those dirty looking things. Most of the time the replicas actually look better than the real thing. But hey you people have a lot of free time so what can I say?

Well living in San Francisco, gay is not a bad thing. Sid, I'll give ye a shout when I get my tartan bondage pants in.
I'm sure Sid Viicous in sevens would be a laughing stock. Incidently I have a fewpairs of COOL, not as well known, brand name mens jeans on ebay. My id is the same if ye wanna have a look!

so far nothing you have said has been worthwhile. and you're not going to change anyone's opinions to yours if that's what you were hoping to do. and if you are you're not going to be successful by insulting people.

so what exactly are you posting here for then?
