i think all true metallica fans would agree on that point.

bullshot, all TRUE metallica fans stuck with them through their "sell-out" album (black) and their bluesy stages (load/relead). Granted, all three albums exhibited some questionable musical decisions.. (mama said? you fucking kidding me?), but we nit-picked our way through them, rationalizing that these albums were worth the three or four decent tracks per album:
Black: sandman, nothing else matters, unforgiven, sad but true
Load: until it sleeps (awful, AWFUL music video, but still a catchy track) , bleeding me
Reload: fuel, (ehh, sorta, liked it much better on S&M, and plus it was kind of soured by avril lavigne at the icon award), memory remains.
and then we were rewarded for our loyalty with garage and S&M (we fans had to look past the fact that their best work in years was mostly covers and re-hashes).
and now, we're nit picking once again through st. anger (with its dubious recording style and trite lyrics) in hopes that the next one will reward metallica's fans.
I was a huge 'tallica junkie throughout all of high school. Real metallica fans don't just quit when the goin gets tough.
Metallica didn't!
Oh, and for the sake of staying on topic:
Zwan - number of the beast
(awesome iron maiden cover by billy corgan, for that soundtrack to "spun")
P.S. Metallica, despite the 100 dollar ticket price, still puts on a HELL of a live show. Anyone else see a show during the the madly in anger with the world tour?
