can someone tell me the sizing comparison of the 86c to the 8lp? would a 30x32 86c fit/stretch about the same as the 8lp of the same size?

Just added 8IE. Got them from Yoox last night and I could have got them in 29W instead of 30W. They have stretch as well.
I've just got my Thanaz 8LP. They're tts, I hope that they'll stretch out a bit, because W31 is just too tight for me in the upper thigh area.
i just looked at some measurements on a used pair of thanaz 8dks in a 30 waist and they are the same measurements as my 8sv's in 29. i dont think 8dk truly stretches as much as people make it out to.

Not that kind of stretch. It's a spandex type stretch vice a perma stretch
post #81 of 226
wait so they dont stretch out permanantly? then why do people always size down so hardcore with these?
yea they don't permanently stretch much. I'm a 28 and sized down to 26 thinking I could stretch them cause I couldn't find it in 27. didn't happen, the spandex like stretch just forms back closer to original size. I would size down 1 though, as the waist already runs huge. my size 26 waist measured 16" across, that's typically a size 28-29 waist size.

also, is the pair you're looking at new/pre-stretch? maybe your 8SV measures the same because it's been stretched.
the pair is used post stretched. yeah my 8sv has definetly been stretched, but i love the way my 8sv fit. so if its the same measurements they should fit fine right? waist is 16.3. thight at croth is 10.2, knee is 7, opening at bottom is 6.6. all the same as my 8svs.

Dont really understand this

8IE BIG CLOSE TO TTS, BUT HAVE STRETCH

Big = Fits +1 Size
Small = Fits -1 Size

So, should I size Thanaz 8ie down? And x1 or x2 down?

I know it's a little confusing.

Mine run BIG. THey are close to TTS but with a couple days wear they will stretch...permanently. If I wash them they will shrink so that the stretch will bring them back.

Summery: I should have bought a 29 instead of a 30. They are also loose in the leg.

Thanks, binaryfi

And will they stretch a lot? Honestly, I don't know my size well W30 or W31
So I'm thinking about w29 or w30

I've only wore them once. They have a 2% stretch but don't feel like a stretch denim IMO.

I don't think they are/were that popular. I like them though. 29 or 30 should be fine. Don't kill me if I'm wrong though
post #88 of 226
I wouldn't size down on 8IE. I don't know why binaryfi's ran big, maybe he sized up, but my pair ran very true to size, maybe even tighter than my other thanaz in the same size. and while it does have 2% stretch, it feels like it will only stretch to accommodate your legs, but not permanently stretch. don't take my word though as I've only worn them one full day. I know a member started a thread here asking for help because he was having a hard time stretching his in his normal size. another member, zdenal_cz, even sized up on his pair.

hmmm...

That's weird and I believe it and I hate diesel for this reason! lol.
^^ yep, I went with my 71B size in 8IE.

Edited: my pair isn't made in Italy (not sure if is it made in Morocco or Tunisia) and also I got it from yoox.
one more thing, there are two different versions of this pair, they look the same, but one is made in italy while the other is made in tunisia. I have the tunisian version, not sure if that makes a difference with the stretching or not. btw, the tunisian version is not one of those DRR/DRF pairs, I got mine from yoox.
Haha so, now I'm completely confused what size I should to try. Btw, I was going to buy it from Yoox.

I've been wearing my 8IE (unwashed) all day and they are FUCKING HUGE. I'm not going to generalize them as being to large wash but in my case I could size down two. My 8UX are a 32W and are tighter than these.

Waste is about 1 size bug, legs are almost Safado status. Just sayin'
@Diao, I would stay with my regular thanaz/diesel size.

@binaryfi, did you size down from the pair you bought before? or are you talking about the same pair? also, where is your pair made?

i have always purchased Thanaz in 31W. I recently realized I'm more of a 29-30W than anything.

Since then I have purchased a few pairs in 30W and all is good. Then came these "curtains" ha ha j/k

got them off Yoox. How can I tell where they are made?

I thought you returned your pair and got a 29 instead.

my pair is made in tunisia and I wonder if that makes a difference as to why they vary so much with the sizing and stretching.

I never encountered it in the past. Then again, I never had duplicate pairs at the same time to compare. All I do know is that any duplicate wash in different sizes that I had complimented each other. example: My 8UX in 30W were like a 26W when the 32W is like a 30W.

These make the Thanaz 72C seem like a gloovy in the leg. Not tight in the calves at all. I WILL wash to shrink these because I bought these to be "beater" black denim. Just my .02. They big, foo!

I've just bought two pairs as a size-down try. Booth from ebay and both in W31, my normal Thanaz size is W32.

In the waist I can pull them off easily, even the 8LP after stretching them. But the rise on the W31 is a tad too short for me. mostly I need my W32 because of the higher rise. Thanaz 89W is also fucking tight in the crotch but these Tunisian made pairs (best lightweight Diesel denim ever!) will surely stretch out, so I'm confident they'll fit this summer.

what size should I get in thanaz 8kw? and is 8kw like the clean version of 73j?
no, IMO
8KW are lighter than 73J
