Why do or don't you buy or wear Diesel Fashion?

Thread Starter
Dear All,

I am a student and I need some information from the people who buy Diesel Fashion or why they dont buy Diesel Fashion?

Please explain why you buy or not buy Diesel Fashion?

Also explain what you want to show to the rest of the world when buying Diesel?

Start your sentence with: I wear Diesel Fashion to show that I am ...... (for example beautifull, nice, extravert etc).

Or I don't where Diesel Fashion because of ..... ( The price, quality etc )

I need this information fast. So really thanks for helping me out.

DIESEL LOVERS vs DIESEL HATERS
GIVE YOUR OPINION!!!!

for me its pretty simple. because of the fit. i've looked at true religion and tried them on and hell, they dont fit they way diesels do. in the end, yes it is a brand name, but if i found another jean that fit similiar to the diesels at half the cost, i would jump on it.
i do everything in my diesels, from everyday where to changing my oil, to artwork, i put them to daily abuse and they take it!
sure it sucks ass, that its expensive, but i have to cut down on them now, since i'm out of college, married, and have a baby boy on the way!

Is this some last minute school paper?? You prolly wont get many "dont wear diesel" responses cause this is a Diesel forum afterall. I'd suggest SUFU for those responses

Diesel has consistently the best fit and quality combinations for the price compared to any other jean makers IMO. Very few other brands' jean releases will command a retail price or more for a 4 year old used pair of jeans like Diesel will- Diesel has a certain collectability because of this that only a handful of Denim manufacturers have been able to achieve.

Also explain what you want to show to the rest of the world when buying Diesel?
I dont want to show shit to the rest of the world- did you come up with this question yourself, or is it your professor who's the narrow-minded one? I wear them because I like some of their wash/cut combinations, I like the fit, and they last way longer in general than other brands I have bought. If you think most people buy Diesel to show off, you're mistaken- this isn't True Religion, SFAM, Vuitton, or whatever other brands people buy just to show off a label and that they've spent waayyy too much money on a single item of clothing.. the way you worded your questions makes me think you don't understand or own anything of Diesel, and have already decided on a set of assumptive stereotypes about people who wear Diesel.

Start your sentence with: I wear Diesel Fashion to show that I am ...... (for example beautifull, nice, extravert etc).

I wear Diesel to show that I'm a shallow fashion whore who buys as much Diesel as I can with the biggest gaudiest logos possible to make those around me feel unworthy because of how much more I spend on my clothing than them; that's what you want to hear, right??

In reality I care a little more about how I look & how my clothing fits me as opposed to the flocks of idiots I see wearing pairs of Express, American Eagle, Abercrombie, etc that are 3 sizes too big and have wash applications that are half-assed knock offs of what Diesel put out 5 seasons ago and placed on horrible quality denim that will fall apart quickly- why throw my money away on this shit when I can spend $20-30 bucks more for a pair of quality jeans from last season when they go to a discount retailer and have them last way longer while looking far better? It's a rarety that I ever pay even half of the retail price for a pair ever.

Good luck with your assignment, though I'd suggest reevaluating they way in which you go about compiling it if you want an outcome other than reinforcing your preconceived notions about Diesel

I was in the mood to go off on a tangent and it seemed like a good place to do it- if you look at the content of what I typed though, you'll se that there is little he'll actually be able to use towards an assignment

\Resemblance is kinda scary, Sushi

Once you've found your cut, ot maybe 2 cuts, the cuts usually stay in the line up's for years and years. Im wearing Larkee's now for 3 years and i just love the quality and the versality. You can use them for college, for going to party's, and some of them to get dressed up for a meeting or work. That's what I like about Diesels, they can be used for a lot of different occasions.

The price sucks sometimes, yeah , I could save 30-40 euro's when I buy a cheaper pair of jeans. Yeah, that's a lot of money. But on the other hand, one pair of Diesels will last for 2,5-3 years!! So i'm like: what is 30-40 euro's more for something that I will enjoy for such a long time? That is how I keep talking to myself when i'm buying such an expensive pair of jeans, lol. I wear jeans everyday and they last long here, so for me, it is worth it.

^^ Me too

Its easy, for the price you pay to wear the usual stuff on the high street, I can get a decent pair of Diesel jeans thats going to last for ages (already mentioned). Like Darnoc said (I think...) Ive never paid retail for a pair of Diesel jeans and own around 12 pairs, most of which are hard to come by but I got lucky on ebay. So why spend £30 or £40 on an average pair of jeans from NEXT, Topman, GAP, or Hollister (Im in the UK) etc etc, when I can easily get a pair of Diesel for that price that i will never see any other guy wearing when Im out.

I have only paid retail like 1 or 2 times. Anyways I usually still pay $100 + dollars
for each pair.

you all can see how much the OP was really interested in the question he asked by the number of his replies

Only pair I paid retail for was Thanaz 73J. Came pretty close to retail on Thanaz 8GZ, Slammer 61X and DDG Slammer though (20-35% off). If I did it again, it would be for Darron or Thanaz 8WW if I could get one in my size for under $200.

Sushi, thanks for the suggestion on trying out Darron awhile back; picked up 8SM and 71V and they seem to be a pretty sweet skinny cut w/o scrunching my thighs like Thanaz-

Same for me, the most Ive spent on Jeans was my thanaz 73j, I paid $215 for them. Picked up thanaz 71J for £55, 71B for £29.99 and 8AA for £18. I guess Ive been really lucky, so with them prices in mind, why would I not wear Diesel.

^ PS. I also picked up Darron 71v last week, already had 8SM and both are pretty sweet!
