Fake or real? A pocket-Style: U130121U-121U cut#: 701551

Anyone know if these are real? I just bought them from a boutique in DC and they were on sale for $99.00. List price: $129.50

After reading the fakeseven site, i'm not so sure that they are real. The tag order is correct (i.e. big fabric tag in middle) and there are not any misspellings on the inside pocket liner. Hoever, the style and cut numbers are stitched, not printed as the guidelines say for authentics. Also, the A pocket stitching is pale yellow...is that real?

Hi Rhea!

These are the newest fake Glacier A Pockets. I've seen those coming up on eBay just recently. That boutique didn't happen to be C21? There are a few members of this forum (for example ktrott) who have bought fakes there as well. They must have been ripped of themselves there, even though I can't imagine that a reputable retail store can afford such a blame ...

I bought the jeans from a boutique in Foggy Bottom called Expressions. These were REALLY good counterfeits. The only things that made me suspect their authenticity were that the field around the small "7" tag on the waistband wasn't completely straight and the "7" was a different font from authentic 7's (my husband has a pair of 7 jeans and i have a pair of 7 cords) and also, the style and cut #'s were stitched, not printed.


Actually, I took them back today (I bought them this morning) and nicely told the owner that I thought he had been sold a batch of fake 7s. I gave him a printout of the "how to spot fakes" and he was appreciative. He refunded my money right away. He said that he had bought the lot of jeans from a supplier in NYC and that he was going to call them.

After this experience, I'm definitely going to be more careful about what I buy and where I buy jeans.

Gee's it's pretty bad when you cannot even trust a boutique to have authentic products.

I have been to at least 4 places selling fakes in Soho.
