Long story short- Purchased a pair of Diesel Zathan 8BEs from HF member Aevis on May 30th, 2009; for 33 days following, his communication via PM was sporadic, and of course, no jeans sent. In one PM on Jun 20th, he actually stated:
"Holy shit bro, I am soooo sorry. I've been so caught up with school that I forgot to ship out the jeans. I'm a med student and clinical rotations are a bitch. I'm going to ship them out ASAP. Please forgive me, I know it's inexcusable but I will ship them out rest assured."
And then all communication stopped after that.
33 days passed from original purchase date, and since he wasn't replying anymore, I opened a Paypal dispute as my window of opportunity was drawing to a close. He failed to acknowledge the dispute and Paypal closed the claim in my favor, but... Surprise! No funds to recover, of course.
So, it's a $200 lesson learned for me, which is fine; it's not a huge amount of money, nor is it the end of the world. However, I'm still not too pleased none the less. I am posting this here and passing this along in hopes of saving someone else from making the same mistake.
Thanks,
Randy
