Auth check please - first pair of R&R!

Hey guys,

I've researched some sites on how to spot fake R&Rs and it seems to be giving me mixed messages. I don't own another pair so I have nothing to compare them to. For all I know, it's REAL tags cut and sewn onto a pair of FAKE jeans. The Rs on the pockets look sharp, there's 2 tags (a size tag and an info tag) on the inside...primarily what has me concerned is the stitching of the Rock & Republic logo on the waistline (does it seem a little unclear, or is it just because they're well-worn?), and the blank rivets. I'm also concerned because the store I bought them from mistakenly had them in the women's area, and I'm only now realizing they're men's jeans. (That's what you get for grabbing and buying without trying them on!)

wow ur first pair of rocks are seleniums, good find. Yes those are real, rare too, those are keepers !

WHEW. Thanks for your help. I'm so relieved. I wonder if a gal can pull off these jeans even though they're for men...I'm a little concerned because they're TIGHT in the crotch for me!!

well if you cant, as i said, these jeans are rare, and highly sought after, also in a good size, 31. You could probably sell for a pretty good price

If you sell them you'd probably be able to get close to $200.

These are the most sought after wash of R&R EVER!

Wow, you found some Seleniums! Too bad they look like they've been altered and that bottom hem looks pretty thick. How long is the inseam? That may be a determination of how likely you are to get a really high price for them

I got them at a consignment shop so they probably have been hemmed (and not the original hem either...it looks pretty blunt cut). :/

I can't find my measuring tape but I just did a little "line up pieces of paper along the inseam and estimate" and it looks like it's about 30" now. *sigh* A good inseam for me, not a good inseam for resale...

You still may get a pretty decent price for them, especially if there's a short person who really wants them. Make sure you take pictures of the hem though when you sell it because someone may get that and be pretty angry if they didn't know about it

You could probably get at least 1/4-1/2 inch more out of the hems if you rip the thread out and redo it. Guys also have shorter legs than women, so 30 is good for more men than it would be for women. Congrats!
