Without further ado, I would like to turn over the reigns to the very talented Cutup / Chris, who will be leading us as the new forum director. He will be in charge of all HF activities from now on. (I will be sitting in the back office working on paperwork, payroll, taxes, server maintenance etc)

This has already been proven to fail due to philosophical differences in management style. So why would it work now?

I really hope that it does work this time around. I had a lot of faith in Chris when he was manager but with his hands tied, there was nothing he could do. Chris is a genuine person and with his leadership, I'm sure he can turn things around here.

+1 for Dave for finally making the right decision....CONGRATS CHRIS!!!

I said the same thing ^

I am being given what I asked for in the beginning. Autonomy, and the freedom to make changes as I see fit without waiting till the end of time for approval

The utter desolation on HF made Dave see things a bit differently. I know we will never get back lost members, many would not piss upon this place if it was on fire. I received a pleasant email with an apology and the promise of the job back with the powers I asked for, and that made me reconsider

I do want to take this place towards a direction that I originally had planned for it.

Away from the "designer denim and authentication" , and towards a general fashion forum layout. I also am a big fan of no bannings and punishment unless its absolutely necessary.

We need to let people argue and talk, people here are grown up enough to stick up for themselves. And ever since a huge banning spree began, the place became severely dull and slow.

I want to give it another try now that I may actually have the leeway I so longed for the first time

the real question is how are you going to get people to come here, AND be active?

this thread was made like 14 hours ago and only 6 people have posted? this is probably the biggest thread since the panty raid.

True, I cant argue with that logic, and that's a very valid question

What I plan to do is rework the site so that it focuses on all things fashion. I also want to get rid of or re-arrange sections so that the members get to decide what is talked about, and arent forced into too many groups

More topics, more things being bumped, more traffic. Many people who are still into fashion wont come here because many pf the sections listed are dated. And if they dont wear those brands then they will feel like there is nothing here for them IMO.

We need to be completely amorhpous so we change as tastes change, then we will never be behind

I want looser rules and freedom of speech, but still no racist or homophobic type crap, and I only want bannings ect if absolutely necessary

It wont be overnight, it will take time. This place has been languishing for ages, so it wont be turned around right away, but I am hoping to make some real headway in the coming months

This is no way anything against Chris. But we've all seen this song and dance from DAVE before. So excuse me if I'm not jumping for joy and giving everyone a high five. I'll believe it when I see it. Until then I don't think anyone is going to be all gung ho until we see some of the changes that Chris has been advocating being implemented.

I completely understand

I wont be notifying everyone of when the changes will come and what they all are, but they are coming.

We have been force feeding false promises ect previously, so I completely understand the bitterness. I am hoping to erode some of that in time

You have every reason to feel that way flipcydesae.

It is important for everyone to understand that this is going to take some time and cant happen overnight. We're definitely off to a good start with some positive Leadership from CUTUP. HF hasnt been in a good place for quite some time now, so to undue the damage will take a lot of work. Slowly but surely these changes will come through.

Chris,

I haven't logged on here in quite some time. Just happened to check it out today. I am encouraged to see that Dave finally came to see the light. I am hopeful that he means what he says and will indeed give you the power to make the changes this place needs. I think everyone was in support of you the last time and we all saw how he tried to make you a puppet with no control. I do sincerely hope that he means what he says and you will be able to have an impact here on HF.
