I'm excited so I thought I'd start a new thread.

Danny and I are officially engaged!!! We've been talking about it forever and we have our two kids already so it's not a huge surprise to anyone we know, but I'm still excited. My ring will be here tomorrow and I think we're going to elope in May, I cannot WAIT to have a few days to ourselves!!!

That's all. lol.

Congratulations, Lindsey. No matter what the circumstances are behind it, it's still exciting to finally be doing it I'm sure. I'm in my 30's with a 16 y/o and I've never been engaged. No matter what I know I'll be happy when it finally happens.

Thanks guys! Yeah, we've waited a long time for this! We used to argue all the time, got pregnant with our first, and didn't want to get married just because we were pregnant, so after another couple of years getting our s*it together, we're ready!!!

Here's the ring- I didn't want a diamond, I wanted something totally different and one of a kind, and bought it from a woman on Etsy which is about the best decision I ever made.

It's a 1.5 carat Tanzanite with 1 carat of little round diamonds around it and halfway down each side of the band. I love the vintage-y look! It's so pretty!
