For crying out loud, you've been giving skinny jeans another four months to go for over a year. Nobody on HF gives shit, it's become as tedious as arguing abortion rights or the second amendment.

While this will give everyone an excuse to discuss their favorite, rare, obscure washes and cut combinations, this is going to be a bitch to compile, organize and update, not to mention the arguements that will undoubtedly break out over values and classifications. I truly feel bad for whomever decides to take on the job of leading and organizing all this.

Of course it will be fun to participate

yeah, this is going to be pretty much impossible to pull off in a way that is truly useful, but work has been really slow for me lately, so I'm doing the jeans hustle and could use pricing help.

The wmn's Diesel market is funny. Unless the jean is current and I do mean within the last 2 years it's not going to worth your time and money. I think WMN want Diesel jeans that are the latest . It could be 796, 772, you name the wash and how hot it is, if it's older than 2006 they can care less.

The Zathan you're about right , start the listing at that price don't fool around with .99 no reserse auctions anymore (sorry guys it's just business)

796 and 772 are passe for men as well dude...sorry to break it to ya

you can sell 772 for more than they retailed in a good year/lab, whether or not Ross hates them Just look on Ebay. Def passe but people will still cop them for a hefty price

796 no longer seem to command as much cash though, I think the pockets were so distinctive that people are just over them... but people will still buy them for over 100.

Palma, you seem to sell a lot of jeans lately. Yeah, I've noticed that with W's Diesel, after a season or so you can pick up NWT for under 70. Thusly, my GF wears pairs that are a few seasons back
post #33 of 274
796 still commands respect even till this day in certain cuts, that wash is sick I don't care what Ross thinks. That wash put the x in rotuck. 772 is still a nice wash when it's new looking. Bottom line they just don't make jeans like they used to and you're only hope of finding what you want is ebay. Sort of like a 1996 Chevy Impala SS.
I actually like 796 once it's washed to hell and the rust lines are gone. Just saying though, it ain't the Holy Grail you're making it out to be, unless your name is lpalma or billbonesknows

lol, my buddy had a 1996 Impala SS, he was a Galveston G.

Ross i agree, those rust lines are bummers. I tried my hardest to get the out of my Zathan 796 years ago, then gave up and got 70z

I think 772 look much better beat to shit that brand new, the distressing looks cheesy to me unless they have been worn out a bit.

Bottom line is that 796 don't fetch as much as they used to, but 772 can still get top dollar, even the newer ones.

This thread might be useful for wash/cut combos that don't show up much on Ebay etc.

gently worn | x rotuck | 772 | 30x32 | Lab 162

Also, they've been modified so the bootcut is reduced. The nice thing about the xr is you can take it in from the inseam, so the wash remains intact for the outseam.

$50

If it fits like an updated pair and it's a good job I'd say around $100.

100 seems about right given the rarity of X-ro 772.

Post them! I might be interested

Here' one for you , brand new Zathan 70 c with creases down the front and everyting? I'm guessing $180 and for what they are thats a steal.

What would you guys estimate a good EUC pair of unhemmed Zathan 784's (W28xL30/32/34) to run? I think I've budgeted an amont of $170-ish for when/if I find the right pair- Too high?

170 seems high for 784, but that wash seems to be in high demand.

palma, you forgot to give size info
size 30 ooohhh la la
Zatiny 8at and 8ld in 30x30. Both in decent condition but not new. Any ideas?

im gona say less than that, 70C keeps popping up @ Nordie Rack for $99. but since its been at least 6mos since ive seen a pair, 130 would be a quick sell

Thanks, robness. Much appreciated!

Euro22, I'd say around 100 - 120 for each depending on the condition, I think the 8AT might be an easier sell, but that's just my opinion/
post #49 of 274
the funny thing is more worn and torn up jeans sell for more alot of times...
