Perfect condition Zathan 60F in 30x30.

We should have a thread for these kinds of questions.

I know pics would help but I don't have them in hand...

only 160? i forgot how cheap diesel jeans retailed back in the day

IDEA: We should start a "What did it sell for" thread, to put questions like these to rest - or at least, provide some kind of barometer of what wash/cut is fetching what money in size/condition(x).

I've been selling a steady drip of jeans on Ebay for the past couple of months and some of the results have been surprising.

Surprising in a good way or bad way?

Both - Some have sold for way less than expected and others way more.

maybe it could be "Estimate Value Of / Sold For:" , but something with a better ring to it of course...

Well, here's some data:

Sold

Zathan | 70L | 31x34 | NWOT for $160
Lowky | 61E | 28x32 | NWT for $80
Cherock | 8AA | 28x32 | Worn in Excellent Condition for $60

Bought

Zathan | black/brown 40C | 32x32 | Worn in Excellent Condition for $110

I bought a pair of BNWT Diesel Zathan 86T 28x32 for $115 USD...

Then traded them for a pair of Zathan 71S...

And now I've been looking for over a year for another pair of 86T...

FUCK

so how could we make this thread truly useful?

some kind of standards would help:

condition | cut | wash & lab | size - price

NWOT | Zathan | 82n | 28x30 | $13 (wouldn't that be a find?)

what sucks is that it will never be a good search-able index, forums can just be difficult to navigate with all the BS comments etc.

what about:

Ex. Used Cond. (nearly NWOT but have been washed) | Zathan | 71J | 28x30

I'm thinking 130 - 150 ?

Looks like we're coming to the formation of a Diesel Jean Price guide of sorts...

it's a lot of work to put something like this together & keep it updated, not to mention the hassles of people arguing and debating the "value" of their favorites pair/wash
post #14 of 274
gently/ like new Zathan 60f expect to pay anywhere from $110-$120 all day everyday, it's up there.

You know that's actually a good idea. I'm thinking also something like a N.A.D.A. or a kelly's blue book of used jeans past and present. It gets revised every month adhering to current business and fashion trends. Available for a nominal fee and to HF pro memebers only.

A hemmed Zathan 710 from a 32 to a 30 waist 30 excellent condition.

taking in the waist 2 inches will probably take a big chunk out of the value.

really depends how well it was done, but that's just not easy to do well...

I'd say without the alteration they'd fetch around 120 in prime condition.

This is a really good idea or a thread. What sort of information should be in it?

Retail price:
Resale value
How rare:

130 shipped on HF, BIN on ebay for 160 with a 120 dollar starting bid Give it a shot.

Okay Palma. I will make sure to do that.

There should be a section somewhere with the history and background of that particular jean that will answer any possible question from fit to features. Take The epic X rotuck, it should include the different variations of the 796 wash/lab in detail with pictures.

This thing could be like it's own whats hot and what's not . Let's start with those skinny jeans. Sure they're cute and all but I'm giving them untill late August. Some jeans are just dead like the Ravi in 796. Those were so hot back in the day , could look cool on a really good day though.

This thing could be like a bible and the final say.

palma, skinny, straight or tapered jeans have been around long before any of us were alive, and will be around long after we're gone.

same with bootcut.

deal with it people.
