Viker vs. Safado

Hey guys,

I am a huge Safado Fan. I own that cut in three different washes.
I have now seen two washes on Viker that I like very much.

Can you tell me how those two cuts differ? Does Viker run as long as Safado does?

In Safado 8IH I am a 30/32, in 8AA I wear 31/32.

I dont know the exact length of too many safado washes, but Vikers tend to run appr. one inch long on my 32 length washes.

In addition Viker is wider from the middle of the thighs down to the leg opening, the back pockets are spaced further apart and it has a slightly lower ris.

I'm mulling Safado, but I know I have to size up in the waist in order to get them over my thighs, so basically I'm echoing what von is saying that Vikers are roomier in the thighs.

sizing depends on your figure. i have thick quads, so if i choose to wear safado in the same size as my viker, safado wraps around my knees giving me the dreaded knocked knee syndrome. i tend to size up from viker.

viker in general seems to have bigger ass room, and knees down it isnt as slim as safado.

Sure? I thought Safado has a lower rise than Viker?

I dont think so. Maybe they are the same rise-wise, but in no way is Safado lower rise than viker.

Bio?

So, as I do not have that much ass, you guys would not recommend Viker?

I just love 8BM and 71B (which I also own as Thanaz)...

the front rise is about the same, the rear rise seems to be different though. my experience is that safado has a lower rear rise than viker for 30-32 waist, but Bio posted the opposite for 26-29 waist..

Without an ass I would not recommend Safado as well, as it has a built-in-ass-eating-black-hole.

^^Well, actually Safado 8IH is the best fitting jeans I have ever owned.

That might be true as my experience only relies on sizes smaller than 30.

^^OP: If you can get your hands on a Viker 71b in a tight fitting size in good condition and a nice lab, dont hesitate to cop. Imo, one of the most versatile washes and an all time classic with awsome but subtle details (not as loud as thanaz 71b).

safado and viker are both straight leg jeans. safado is a much slimmer fit with a much narrower leg opening. I prefer vikers (if you are not a waif then this cut is best), but Diesel is discontinuing the viker line so i'm hunting for a new brand of jeans!!!

how can diesel abandon the viker --- a regular straight fit jean???????? unbelievably stupid.

I don't think someone is waiting for another reply on almost 5 years old thread...
