Hi can someone please tell me what it means when the inside 7 label is cut/snipped on the waistband? ---Is this really just to prevent returns? Thanks for the help!

Yes... although I've never seen the actual waistbang slitted... usually an outlet store will slit or mark the tag so the buyer can't return it full price to a retail store.

Ok thanks.

Oh... and this is usually done with older models only... outlet stores usually don't carry the current line.

Oh okay...this is a pair of Seven Flynt jeans that I was looking at and believe to be authentic but it has a small slit through the 7.

It's possible.. different companies mark irregular/overstocked goods differently. Seven may mark it directly through the logo on the waistband.

The vast majority of the time in my opinion, the jeans are irregular. Sometimes you get the smart ones on ebay who pull the tags off really quickly after buying something and cause the snip. They wear them for like a month or two, then re-sell them as new claiming it is done as a means to control retail returns. Personally I would never buy any jeans that had a snipped label.
