I have a horrible time finding jeans that fit and I'm thinking of trying raw denim for the first time. Can any of you suggest brands/styles that work well for curvy girls? I have an hourglass shape and the vast majority of jeans are tight across the hips and thighs but gap like crazy in the waist. I can almost guarantee that anything labeled "slim fit," "straight leg," or "skinny" will not work for me. And I know people say higher waisted jeans are good for avoiding the waist gapping problem, but I do prefer a lower rise (7 or 7.5"). I've always had good luck with the Citizens of Humanity Kelly Bootcut and the old Paper Denim & Cloth Mod cut, if anyone's familiar with those and can suggest a raw denim analogue. In case anyone finds them useful, here's rough estimate of my measurements:
Natural waist ~ 26"
Low waist ~ 31" (this is about where I like to wear my jeans)
Hips ~ 37"
Thanks so much!
