I don't understand why it's such a novel idea that a Asian guy should marry a Caucasian girl. I've seen it happen many times with friends. In fact, one of my best friends is not the most attractive of Asian guys (by American standards) and his wife (also my friend) is very pretty. They have two adorable children together and they totally connect. I guess to some people it's about more than just looks.

And, I found this quote from one of the youtuber's comments ridiculous. Haha. He's in LOVE with his white gf, but will marry an Asian girl? WTF?!?! He's got excellent logic.

Well, I did a quick search and apparently she was a music student. That would explain a lot - most people in music schools (especially orchestras) are Asian...so where there's more exposure, there's more interest. I played in an orchestra before and can attest to that.

^^^ I love a certain "type" of asian guy.
Even my husband who is way white knows this. I grew up around a lot of traditional chinese families and so all the boys I liked were asian.
I always felt out of place.

Also there seems to be a weird obsession as to "why" interacial /intercultural relationships happen. Seriously, it's like everything is overanalyzed to death.

In my opinion, there is not a term for "white" people. Her skin may be pale and "white" but does not necessarily mean she is caucasian. Being caucasian does not necessarily mean white. Everyone comes from somewhere. There is a mix in "white" people. I don't understand how some people (not here on this forum) truly believe they are "white", without even knowing what that means.

I may sound confusing, I know. I just hate labels. This asian boy is labeled "asian" because he definitely looks it. But the cute white girl?..... Don't label her "white" just because she has light hair and skin.

Who cares who marries/dates who of any color or image. I just see too many things now where races are compared to the "white" people and people make it seem so wrong.

shoesandbags, because people tend to only look at the outside instead of learning that it's what is on the inside that counts. A lot of people are phenotypically white, but have a lot of different ethnic backgrounds and makeups and the same goes for all others.
