hello everybody,

wanted to touch base and see if we should move this forum up or down.

maybe we should call it "high end fashion"

and feel free to post ideas on different icons, right now we just have a simple dior logo

I've stated my personal dislike toward to Dior logo and would like to hear more voices/suggestions as well.

A lv symbol might work well, most recognized symbol, but maybe thats just me?

Perhaps a fat stack of Benjamins would work as an icon? Either that or the logo for Robb Report, the baller's magazine.

IMO, using any actual brands logo is tacky for a sub-forum that represents a wide range of products. The Logo symbols for jean sub-forums is fine since it's specific to each brand. Just keep it simple like you do for Fashion Fashion & HF Chat (Although I think the Fonz is tacky).

If HF is supposed to "the #1 community of designer denim" Then the jean sub-forums should all stay in line with each other above High End & Fashion Fashion. But that's just my opinion of course.

IMO, $ Symbol is something along the lines of what I would put to represent High End section.

Put a nice big diamond on there lol. Or gold bricks, or a stack of benjamins, as Skelletor suggested. Anything that can represent baller status without having any type of branding, really.

Examples:




or anything of the like.

I am also a fan of the stack of $100 bills. The only thing is, since this board isn't made up of completely US members, I thought the gold bars or something a little more "universal" might be nice. But the stack of money is still my favorite lol.

Stack FTW!

I don't think the fact that it's US currency would matter.

I think it looks AWESOME. Crisp, clean, and to the point.

I don't care for the Dior logo either. Dior doesn't sum up "High End" like a stack of bills does.

A simpler solution IMO is to incorporate the ideas of others by putting the symbols for different currencies repeated in a random way with different font sizes. Dollar signs, pounds, euros, yen, on a black background and make the color of the symbols shades of gold and silver, platinum... that is all.

That logo makes me cringe. "High end" costs a lot, but it isn't about money.
High end designers to me are like the finest paintings or artworks. Not everyone has the money for one but it beautiful to observe.
In my measly opinion, of course .
