They still look good with the cap toe IMO. I actually tend to prefer cap toe for a little extra detail on an otherwise very simple design.


Besides... you need a little more variation, Cez. Not all your laced shoes need to be traditional oxfords. A cap toe and/or wingtip wouldn't hurt. Just my $0.02.

Those CPs would fit me but I already have patent black achilles lows and $215 is still a bit steep for them IMO. I coulda copped that pair brand new for $100 a while back but got my achilles instead.

May I ask, where do you buy cp's usually? I still didn't find pair in almost new or bnwt condition so cheap (215 bucks)...

lol, you can't buy them that cheap. it's just once in a while you can get a good deal from yoox, or for used pairs from other members. imo, from trying many different brands, cp's are well worth over $200. very well constructed compared to other brands like dior, margiela, ysl, which are like double the price. i would insta-cop those courts if they were mid or high tops. right now i'm wearing my 2010 achilles black hightops, love them.

Btw. is sizing is new collection still same as before - I mean size down from standard size (43 in almost all shoes -> 42 in CP?)?

Yeah they are definitely the most solid sneakers I've ever owned. I would probably pay $215 if I was on the market for black sneakers but I'm not currently. Those are my size too.

Courts definitely have a good shape. I actually prefer the lows to the mids in courts because the shape of court mids is too triangular... They lack any real shaft which made stacking look funny with them. I bought some white mids a while back along with my patent black achilles lows for $100 but ended up selling them due to the shape (and the fact that I already had 2 pairs of white sneakers that needed to be worn)

zdenal, your cp size should be the same as your chuck taylor size, which should be the same as almost all euro brand shoes. my us brand shoe size is typically us9, with the exception of chucks, while my euro brand size is us8.

Size down one is the general rule... Excerpt if you have abnormally wide feet. Then you would likely have to keep the same size and deal with excess length as CPs run pretty narrow.
