A buyer recently bought some items from my eBay store I was selling for a friend of mine. She paid promptly, and I shipped the next day using EMS to Germany. The package was declared "undeliverable as addressed" and was then lost for a while because my return address got cut off when I printed the postage.
I see this as her fault because obviously is something wrong with the way she entered in her address. I have shipped various packages to Germany over this past month and have no problem except for this one. Even splitting the charges with her (as she has proposed) requires me going and getting money back from my friend.
I'm curious to see what other people would do in this situation. I'd prefer not to get a negative feedback but I'm not really sure I want to be out $30 to ship it again.
One solution I am considering is saying since she is willing to split the charges, she can pay half the shipping cost for a non-EMS shipment.
