The theatre of the absurd, no worries here.

Anyone got a bun and some HP sauce??
WOW

Where do these commercials play? I've never seen them in the U.S.
They're just viral. To my knowledge, the only broadcast ads Diesel ran in recent years was for their fragrance.

Meat puppet kinda misses the mark, but I did like the "hair bath."

Whoever is coming up with these ideas must not understand the concept of viral advertising very well. If I were a relatively higher-end Italian clothing manufacturer, I doubt I'd want "raw meat" to be the first thing that came to mind when people thought about my products.

Yeah, these viral guys have no idea what they are doing. XXX was a massive failure, I didn't see that video posted on every blog and forum.. Oh and nobody is going to make any threads about this current video and talk about it...

i 2nd that...
i thought it was pretty funny and quirky!

We're thinking way too hard about this. It's always been Diesel's M.O. to be completely obtuse and somewhat inscrutable. This is no different.
^agreed.

i bought the XXX Years of Diesel book (shows all the campaigns and etc).. and all of them are pretty weird..

my favorite collection / campaign so far was human after all..
too bad we havent seen anything similar to it in the last couple of seasons
post #23 of 49
^ "Human After All" was top notch.

...I have no idea.. i just.. I have to let this sink in.

But I know for a fact that I'll have the "chorus" in my head for a long ass time now
"Here comes Pete, he's a meat puppet.
A meat puppet. A puppet of meat."

confusing and lulz at the same time

Please. XXX was not viral advertising, it was a promotional event. I doubt that the fact that we're making threads about this video means that they're hitting their target market to gain more sales. We're already in the DIESEL FORUM, so we're bound to already be purchasing and talking about Diesels. Please learn more marketing before you try to critique what I've said.
