What denim to buy at Metropark? (RR, R&R, TR, MEK?)

I've been working at Metropark for a little while and they have been bugging me for not following the dress code. I have to wear denim from one of the brands they carry. I like Diesel and SFAM but all Metropark carries for guys are these brands:

True Religion (Billy and Joey, maybe a few more)
MEK (lots of it)
Rock Revival (supposedly made by MEK)
Rock and Republic (only one fit - the Henlee)
Affliction
Monarchy

I don't really know about MEK, Rock Revival, Affliction, or Monarchy. I sell them but I don't love these brands. I don't love the flap pockets on most of the TR's and I haven't gotten a chance to try on the Henlee R and R's but it seems like my only choice.

What do you think? I don't like anything with a wider fit. Are MEK and Rock Revival even premium brands? We sell them for about $130-$150.

If you're forced to wear denim from one of those brands, I'd probably go with Rock & Republic because the Henlee isn't a terrible option in terms of bootcut jeans. However, depending on how much you're willing to spend/the discount offered, it might be in your best interest to just buy the cheapest pair sold if you're never going to where them elsewhere.

metro park = douche bag clothing center

i liked that store for a hot min when i went for my first time to one in Vegas in '06.

If you take every d-bag at the bar and put all their clothing together you get the metro park inventory.

If they are bugging you so much you should tell them to just give you a pair and shut up, otherwise just wear your own stuff.

Even with your discount you could def get the same pair RR or TR's cheaper finding them on your own.

Sorry to crap on your place of work but i really can't stand that metro park image

your best options (in order) would be:

1. quit your job
2. kill yourself
3. just get the cheapest pair that fits you and only wear them while working

Haha I wish I was messing with you guys but a summa cum laude liberal arts degree just ain't what it used to be. MP isn't a bad place to work - you wouldn't catch me dead in all that Ed Hardy crap though.

I guess I'll go with the R and R's - I do like a slimmer bootcut. So 40% off $260 probably still wouldn't beat prices here, huh?

yeah thats such a joke - buy a pair on ebay for about $80 and call it a day.

Thats crazy talk that they would even bring up the idea to drop $150 on "mandatory jeans"

Haha yeah, the Begret might sit on you and crush you.
As for the op, just suck it up and consider it a uniform. Hey, at least it's not hot dog on a stick.
It takes balls to wear that shit.

and i edited it cause i saw he mentioned diesel already

i have moved on past diesel, but i still think its easy to see that the quality of their denim products is far superior to the others mentioned in the OP.

YO MANG DO THEY CARRY SEAN JAWNS? THAT P DIDDY DENIM IN HARLEM CUT BE SO FRESH Y000000000

Tell them to go fuck themselves since it won't say anywhere in your handbook that you have to wear their shitty jeans. Unless they provide you with a wardrobe you can legally wear w/e the hell you want there.
Well, theoretically. A store can't force you to wear something unless they provide you with those garments for free. That being said, it's within every right of a store to limit the hours of someone who doesn't adequately represent the company by wearing clothing sold in that store.

Sevenkid's right. Abercrombie had a giant lawsuit over this.
abercrombie? no wonder sevs had a good response!
Yeah, I use to work at abercrombie and they complained when i wore my rocks and true religions. They did not make you wear their clothes you just can't wear competitor logs or anything black. If metro is anything like abercrombie if you don't quit soon you will go insane
post #23 of 30
^ You might has well have been wearing abercrombie denim...

Also, if thats you in your av you look nothing like either of the Tyler Durdens.
Do you have like 3 personalities to make up for it?
Take those brands and buy the style you like somewhere else. If you want to buy RR just go buy a pair that you actually like here on HF or ebay or something.

Although I must agree that I would buy the cheapest pair and just wear them all the time.
