Currently i'm looking for a new men's wallet was hoping for some suggestions. i would love to buy the graphite louis vuitton damier, but i just can't justify paying that much right now.

looking for:

- bi-fold and probably leather
- classy, nothing kiddish.

budget: upto $150

was thinking about coach, but let me know what brands/websites you guys/gals have in mind for to me to check out.

D&G has some wallets around that price available online at eLuxury. The Cabazon Outlets near Palm Springs will also do charge send. My Gucci wallet was originally $280 and I got it for $100 there (bi-fold, leather, and very classy, IMO). There's also a plethora of other boutiques there that will charge send - if you describe what you're looking for, they could probably help you.

designer: any chance you could find a pic or have a pic of the wallet you bought ? was this a long time ago ?

as for what i'm looking for the main is that its bi fold and the regular square shaped. not the longer ones that look like cheque books or anything of that sort.

save up for an LV graphite damier - im hoping to get one for my birthday...in June. for now i have to deal with my shitty canvas Gucci that is destroyed and i have only had for 2 years. DO NOT GET CANVAS, this was my first and last

lilcram do you mean fabric? I don't think gucci makes anything in canvas. The closest thing to canvas that gucci makes would have to be their gg plus which is like thick vinyl. I would also reccomend LV. I have the mono canvas and it seems to endure all the abuse I put it through. I know it's out of your budget but you can't get anything decent with $150.

Burberry BRIT CHECK 6 CREDIT CARD WALLET - Accessories

I have this one. It's not full leather, but it has a leather interior and it's pretty nice, IMO. The design is pretty understated, which I like. Not quite $150 but close.

The design will vary from wallet to wallet, also. Mine doesn't look like the one depicted. It has one dark stripe (thicker) running top to bottom on the front and 3 dark stripes on the back (without the thin lighter stripe running top to bottom).

sh0ebox how does it hold up seeing it seems to be made of canvas/vinyl ? lilcram's gucci wallet seems to be made of the same material and is wrecked after 2 years and i'm sure its just from normal use only.

thanks for the link notfrostyjosh. those aren't bad, but not really my cup of tea. not a fan of zipper wallets and those seem to be more hipster than classy which is what i'm aiming for. just my opinion though.

wallets with any type of logos or branding are the opposite of classy, they are tacky. those CdG's at blackbird are too much imo, but most of their stuff is just plain leather and the quality is tops compared to the gucci and lv junk that is poorly made and grossly overpriced and covered in logos and garbage.

Well, I've only had the wallet since December, so I can't speak to the length of lilcram about the quality holding up. But so far, it still looks basically brand new, besides the fact that it folds more lopsided ish now from me sitting on it all the time and the indents from my cards and being sat on. But there's no tearing or anything unexpected.

And I don't think mine is the same material as lilcram's, as it's not anything like fabric (or at least the fabrics that come to mind when I think of fabric). It's got a weird texture to it that I can't really think of how to describe. It feels almost rubbery (but not as grippy or anything). Weird, I can't think of anything right now lol.

Just have it cleaned. Anything that's fabric is obviously going to get dirty if you use it a lot. Consider your clothing; it has to be laundered depending on how much you wear it, etc.

I had a Gucci canvas watch that faded after I wore it every day for a year. I simply had it redyed and it looked brand new again.

Canvas is much less likely to stain than fabric, anyway. But there's always going to be something wrong. My leather wallet shows signs of wear because it has scratched some and crinkled at the corners.

Here are the requested pics of the wallet. I purchased it in April.

I thought about cleaning but it wouldnt help. The actual beige threading faded away so now just the plain navy areas show, that kinda looks like dirt. I feel if i have this wallet another two years it will be solid navy!

I got a wallet from Tod's. It is very simply and classy...constructed entirely of leather. It is extremely well made. Retail on mine was $225. I got it for $120 on sale from Tod's at South Coast Plaza.

You can take a look at their wallets on their website, but they do have a wider selection in their stores.

I'm not a big fan of zippers on wallets...pain in the ass imo
