the topic was "why don't you believe i was raped" -- my sister was on and i was the one who didn't believe her. the facts didn't measure up with what she claimed was happening, so yeah. it was a huge drama thing for our family.

funnily enough, my dad flew out to NY with me though.

lol, i guess those shows aren't all staged *referring to previous talk show threads* i have always been curious what it would be like to be on a talk show, but i would hate to be brought on one not knowing what i was there for!
I am trying to think what could be defined as my 15 mins of fame, and nothing is coming up...um, I won the spelling bee in 5th grade which was pretty cool

More like my...30 seconds or so of fame...

I'm in two Fuel videos:
"Jesus or a Gun" (like...2 seconds)
The video that is on the "Something Like Human" CD at the beginning when they are performing "Shimmer" (I got sick of that song...). I looked pissed off or something. (long enough that I can point me out, put my finger on me, and have someone recognize me. - I was in the front)

These were both filmed at a concert in DC in '99.

This is not really about me but I figured I'd list some of the famous people who live about five minutes away from me, all of whom I've met at least once:

1. Vanessa Williams

2. Paul Schrader (the guy who wrote Taxi Driver)

3. DMX

4. Bill/Hillary Clinton

5. Richard LaMotta (he invented the Chipwich(tm))

6. Ralph Byers (the guy who does the Trojan man's voice)

7. Bob Mintzer (ridiculous tenor saxohpone player)

I KNOW there are more but I can't think of them at the moment... yeah, a couple of moderately famous people live near me lol

LMAO. Probably more like 15 seconds, I'm sure.

I won this scholarship senior year of HS, and was on the *local news* which about 3 people on earth watch. My boyfriend at the time saw the tape of it and looooved it cause I was talking in my "smart voice" as opposed to what is apparantly my usual idiot voice.

oh... if we get to say what famous people we lived near / met..

Kevin Johnson from the Phoenix Suns... ate breakfast with him right after he got signed to the suns...

Used to date a former Raider player...

6 of the Colorado Rockies (including but not limited to: Matt Holliday, Dustan Mohr and Brian Fuentes) live very close to me during the season (ie Matt Holliday was 2 doors down from me, he's a fox!)

Met Alec Baldwin during a movie filming...

And that's all I can remember right now..

When i went to Palm Springs one year i went to see President Ford get his name on thir Walk of Fame and i got interview for the Palm Springs Newspaper.

I used to do a lot of singing on local TV as a kid and onetime i did something for the CBC radio.

One time i was hypnotized, made an ass of myself (it was actually really fun though) and then people around the city who had been there recognized me :P

My cousin is the mayor of Winnipeg. He is also the owner of our Baseball team.

When i was a kid i met the Fonz and i played with his daughter

A couple years ago i met george lopez at a baseball game when he was filming in Winnipeg.

Can't think of anything else really.

Um... I hope this counts, but a few weeks ago, my cheerleading squad (I'm the head coach) was filmed for a segment that's going to be aired on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They have this 12 year old sports reporter that they fly to different events to ask quirky questions and throw athletes off balance. They flew all the way here to interview and film us, and they took footage of us stunting, cheering, interviewed a few members, etc. I don't know the air date yet (it will be sometime this month -- the producer is supposed to call me with an air date soon), and I know for a fact they will pass us off as "dumb cheerleaders" but whatever -- it's still JAY LENO!

I stood behind Venus and Serena Williams years ago while in line at Victoria's Secret. This was before they got super famous. My husband pointed them out and at first I didn't believe him. They are SUPER TALL! Course maybe that's because I'm only 5'1"... I was too chicken to say anthing to them...

well, I won spelling bees and stuff, too, but I was also on the local news once talking about Karate and how much I liked it and stuff. I was like 6, lol.

But I knew (really well) somebody pretty famous. Jimmy Baker. He used to fly out here and visit us and he brought me presents. I have them, still. He used to scare us to death, though. He'd go running for like 2 hours and not come back, and refused to carry a cell phone!

I met Sonic Youth and Jim O'Rourke a few years ago, and the drummer even put me on the guest list for one of their shows. It was so cool to go to the venue and be like, "Yeah, I'm on the list...Sonic Youth's list." Ha.

I also met Krist Novoselic (bass player from Nirvana).

When I was in second grade, I chocked on a large piece of hard candy at CCD, and my teacher had to preform the Heimlich on me. There was an article about it in the newspaper the following day. Our teacher was only like 18 too, she then quit because of how traumatic the experience was!

I was on one of the local News channels on 3 different occasions regarding the use of Hartz flea products on cats. It had made one of my cats go into seizures, so I lobbied hard to try to get them to change the packaging on the Hartz box, which Hartz eventually did. Apparently Hartz knew their products were very dangerous to some animals. I also had the President of Hartz respond to an article I had published in a local newspaper. I use to have people come up to me and ask me if I was the Hartz lady ,
