i think the most actual thing for today is something like new diesel pants, maybe somethnig like black and gold diesel pants and washes without fading etc
I thought the washed out look was "out" for the last few seasons and now it is coming back again as people want alternatives to the super dark solid washes that have been so popular. I personally think there is room for both looks depending on the mood and the occasion.

exactly. was just going to post this.. the style is technically 'out' right now (though hasn't been for very long) and looks to be coming back slowly but surely. i personally can go either way but washed jeans just seem to have more personality in my opinion than unwashed pairs.. tho that is all very subjective of course. i do love my 8LP.

washed blue denim will never be out of style because it is meant to mimick the way a pair of raw jeans would look after they are worn in. so as long as people are wearing jeans, basic washed blue washes that are somewhat realistic looking will always be acceptable.

^^
"Somewhat realistic" is key. There's really no room for the heavy-distressed look unless the effect is carried-off in such a way that it truly suspends disbelief. I guess that's what we've always valued at HF, but the bar of acceptability has been set even higher than in the past.

for us yes, but not for the unwashed masses. for most people basically anything that is not acid washed or covered in ink spots will pass as "somewhat realistic".

nice fit and wash.
what size are you wearing?

^They didn't have any 34 length

And I had a 29x32 which was too tight, but that pair looked WAY better than this one.

I like 72L wash... it's really acid, effective and cool, but i think the washes like this are good for not frequently wearing; otherwise it seems gaudy to owner of these.. and the owner feel tired of him...
Funny, I've been wearing my 72Ls all the time.
^^ Yeah me too, 72L is cool summer wash...IMO.

I would have copped it already if not for the stupid ink stains. Diesel just loves to make something totally awesome, then screw it up with one last application of tackiness.
^ maybe you should stick with your Wranglers
post #42 of 101
I wanna make some kind of brokeback mountain joke. I think you and Ryan are rubbing off on me....I'm like 90/10 now

You can actually pick up a pair completely stainless !!! I've seen in thanaz very small amount of ink barely visible !

Would love to but I don't think thanaz is for me. I weigh 125 and even my 29W 71b is stupid tight on me.
I don't know how to quit you, ross

I don't know what else it comes in besides Zatiny and Thanaz. But I got 72C today so I'm not looking for anything else for a while.

Does that number sound too high or too low?
