Paypal Help

i accidentally bought a fake pair of jeans and i filed a dispute with the seller and paypal about the fake jeans

i did everything i could to describe that the jeans were fake with pictures and paypal, still denied my claim

is there anything i can still do or is that it, my money is gone?

If you funded the PayPal payment with your credit card, you would be able to call your credit card company to dispute the transaction. You'd most likely have better luck with that route.

If that's not the case, I'm sorry but your money is gone

Did you provide a letter from an expert stating the item was fake? They probably denied you claim because you didn't provide this. If you paid w/ your CC you need to do a chargeback. Your CC will probably require a letter too. When you need it contact me. I will let you know what information I need at that time.

At this point you need to file a CC chargeback. Your paypal claim was denied.

Did you pay with a CC?

Not to sound like a broken record (and also to say I have said this one more time just incase everyone was ignoring me the first million times) but everyone should always use a CC for all online purchases. PayPal's protection plan is a joke.

Thats strange that denied you. Whenever i filed a claim for a fake item they always told me to just send back and get them the tracking number. You would have to pay to send the item back but you would get your initial payment including shipping back. They never asked me for back up proof on the item...

I haven't had to file for some time now so maybe they got a little more on the strict side?

I completely and wholeheartedly agree with you. PayPal will barely do anything for you unfortunately.

I have dealt with thousands of cases and from my experience they rarely do this. If the seller does not agree to a refund and you need to have paypal determine the outcome of the case they always require documentation from a 3rd party. Collectibles, electronics etc almost always require this.

If the seller is not responsive though and paypal decides in your favor w/ out a resolution expert then you will just send the item back no 3rd party required.

i've called visa and they said they don't have dispute rights and they won't even let me file a chargeback

Is the VISA card issued from a bank or financial institute other than VISA? Most cards say VISA but are issued through a 3rd party. If so I would try contacting the 3rd party.

yep call up the card issuer. VISA is not going to help you do a chargeback...

On your statement online, is there a dispute button next to the charge? I have a PC mastercard and right next to the charge is a button you can click on to dispute the charge.

i called td canadatrust and they said it's not their problem, its the credit card companies

this feels as if i'm just getting the run around, nobody wants to take responsibility ;S

Time to get a better credit card IMO. I call up my card and they immediately do what I say. No run around.
